If you could change one thing about your body...

I mean, it wouldn't change shape A LOT, just enough to make it fit better. Mens shirts these days all seem to be made for super skinny emo kids and giant fat people. Where are the clothes for the average-sized people?!
Damn! I was imagining lengthening the hem on my roommate's trousers a little bit every day so he'd think he was shrinking, or giving people wedgies without touching them. Oh, the hijinks I would get up to!

Yeah, but my prescription is so strong that the glasses weigh a lot and dig into my nose. It kind of kills the whole sexy factor when your glasses are as thick as the Hubble. ;)

Ah; fair enough.

I have contacts but I have trouble with them because of an astigmatism that makes them irritate my left eye.

I had a bad experience with contacts once and ever since have refused to let them anywhere near my eyes. :shifty:

I bought them all and burned them. Average people have no place here!

Playing with the averages? Now that... [puts on sunglasses] ... was just plain mean.

Oh God.

^^ And shorten her skirt.

And lose the benefits of sexy glasses? Pass.
Seriously! When my opthalmologist told me I needed glasses my first thought was, "YES! A fashion accessory I have to buy!"

I can dig it. Thank goodness glasses are so much lighter now than when I was a kid. Those Clark Kent glasses weighed more than my head. :rommie:

I'd go for the laser eye surgery as well, I don't wear glasses, although I do need them really. I wouldn't change anything cosmetic.

Same here. I kinda like wearing glasses, but there are times when it would be handy to see well beyond two yards without corrective lenses (sports come to mind). On the other hand, my glasses makes me look smarter, which considering it's me we are talking about, it's saying something.

I think your Italy's JonathanWally.
I like to think that he's America's iguana_tonante.

Fix my eyes so I don't have to wear glasses anymore.

I've actually converted to this view more as of late. I decided that now that I had to get new glasses recently I'd actually get some that I thought looked great instead of keeping with my former philosophy. Which was that glasses where a necessary evil. See, I'd never really come to terms with that I have to wear glasses and now I decided that I didn't need another aspect of that I hated, so great looking glasses go!

This. My astigmatism (I have it in both eyes!) is bad enough not to be able to wear contacts (even the ones they make special for astigmatism.)

My glasses aren't too thick (featherweights), however my next prescription will probably have bifocals *sighs* My mom was legally blind even with her glasses, and I think I'm headed there too :(

I would, however, want a tummy tuck. Losing weight and having a baby streched my tummy out, and no amount of crunches will fix it!

I dream of tummy tucks!

I've always thought changing features with surgery can look a bit odd, especially if you were familiar with the person before alteration. The balance of the whole is skewed somehow, and you could end up looking wrong in an undefinable way- nose jobs and dental work especially. I am referring here to cosmetic alterations rather than needed and necessary procedures. Plus you never know if you won't give yourself more problems than you started with... so, for this reason, I wouldn't make any changes, even if I had the money.

I you pushed me though, I wouldn't mind a lower hairline, so I didn't have such a pronounced forehead - it's a pain in the summer, as only my forehead tans 3 shades more than the rest of my face, and fringes look ridiculous on me.

I also wouldn't be unhappy with an inch taken off my hip width - I have what they call "child-bearing hips"... since I don't intend to have any children - it's a bit of a waste really. :p

And if you pushed me some more - I wouldn't mind more shapely calves and knees, I used to hate my knees as a child as they were so knobby and seemed to stick out a mile. I still avoid short clothing as I don't think they suit me.

Having said all that, I wouldn't change anything really - I have accepted my body and have finally learned to dress and handle myself in a way that I am comfortable with. I try to spend more time being thankful and grateful, rather than being overly critical. I am what I am. I want to focus on my spirit - which needs far more work, and is more achievable goal.

I can't wait 'til he chimes in.

I'm trying to get to that point myself. It's odd, I think my skin would be the first thing I'd want to change, but honestly, I'm better about accepting it now. The only things I'd really like to change about my body are things like my allergies, asthma, back issues, etc. Things that keep me from being active and enjoying outdoor activities and other things that could promote my general health.

I'd like to lose weight, and I'm on my way there, but setbacks like the cold or whatever it is I have right now are such a bummer. I'll be doing great with my exercise and then I end up just having to sit around for weeks at a time and it drives me crazy.

Anyway, I guess I'm saying I'm mostly content with my body and the things I'm not content with, I think I can grow to accept. My health issues are the most difficult things to accept.

It would be a toss up between getting my chin done or getting my stomach done.

I haven't gotten to the point where I need glasses to read yet, fortunately.

As an alternative to bifocals, there are glasses with an adjustable slide on the bridge for seeing far away or reading up close:

The downside is that they're kind of ugly and really expensive for now ($895 US).

Yeah, I think I am as well unless my eyesight stops getting progressively worse. I have to get a new prescription every couple of years.

I've got a significant number of hair follicles I'd get removed. The neck would just be the start. It would be a fuzzy massacre.

Very understandable.

You don't look overweight in any of the photos you've posted... I'd bet real money you're well within the target range for your height. And aren't colds and flus supposed to make peeps loose weight... :p

Anyway, I guess I'm saying I'm mostly content with my body and the things I'm not content with, I think I can grow to accept.

This is a great attitude.
