World Cup 2010 - South Africa Thread

lol, people are honking in my street. I guess they're showing their happiness at Laurent Blanc's coming!

If you're the French, you bring back Ribery and two other players who are great and then you clean house. All the coaches, all the remaining players, everything. I think that's the only way you escape this embarrassment.

I'm not sure I would even keep Ribery, I can't remember ever seeing him be as impressive in the national team as he is with Bayern.

Bring back ? He was never really gone. He makes funny interview, this guy can't speak a correct French
"On a dur". That's not something I wanted to know

That's appromatively what is going to be done IMO. Not sure about Ribery but I guess that the younger of the team, the most recent additions might stay.

Now, it's not the end of the soap opera, it's maybe going to be even more funny (if possible) in the next days

So Argentina vs. Mexico, Uruguay vs. South Korea.

I think both South American nations are going to win those.

Two African nations down and out... four more to go. :sigh:

Only 3 left. Cameroon was already out.

Algeria and Ivory Coast are in very tough positions, and I don't see them making it.
The only African team I could see reaching the second round is Ghana, and that's not even certain.:(

Oh yeah... forgot about Cameroon.

I'm not too sure about Ghana. It all depends on how tough Australia will be against the Serbians perhaps.

Since when is work a barrier to sport? I'll be in a meeting 3-4 but like hell will I be out of the loop :d

Hell, I've only missed a hour of the competition so far and that was because my phone died on the train during Greece v Nigeria. Why stop now?

I'd already booked this afternoon off anyway, but it wouldn't have mattered, apparently everyone's finishing at lunchtime and fcuking off to the pub anyway!

I'm getting out of work at about 2.30 barring any kind of work related emergency!

Have to say I loved all the BBC pundits moaning about Greece in the Argentina game last night, almost seemed to be suggesting Greece should have rolled over and let Messi and co play!

^ Yeah, it makes being the best player in the world even easier when everyone worships you and refuses to acknowledge that a bit of effort will take you out of the game. Fair enough to Greece, dire as it was.
