Oh yeah that's right she did say she would see them both again when the Pandorica opens. I guess the rewritten stuff then gives her memory gaps?
^Or she'll escape and save everyone in some manner we can't guess, the Doctor will be set free and the TARDIS explosion will un-happen.. Moffet does like his happy endings, after all, and I'd be very surprised if we don't have a very nice, everybody-lives wrapup this season.
They never bothered to check it out because she didn't put it there until after they'd all been locked away outside of time.* So how does River know a written language (the one on the cliff) that no one in the universe save the Doctor knows? Old high Gallifreyan? So apparently no Time Lord ever bothered to check it out? Or else they had seen it and figured it was some time apprentice having a laugh.

What's that? If she carved it into the oldest planet in the universe, then the Time Lords still should have been able to see it before the Time War?

Why on earth the people keeping River prisoner would let her keep her hallucinogenic lipstick in her cell with her
But still, really good stuff overall. I hope these rumours of Moffat leaving after the next series are false; this has been my favourite series of new Who by quite a wide margin.
I won't even ask Moffat where she hid the lipstick from the guardsand I've not heard the rumors about Moffat, I would hate that to be true.
Moffat turned down some big Hollywood projects to do Doctor Who so I assumed he would be around for Matt Smiths Era or at least 3 years.
I think they only showed creatures for whom they had the costumes lying around. Hence the difficult to explain presence of the Silurians (thought I hate to acknowledge them as such).Loved the episode, hope the "Big Bang" next week can match the level this story. River mentioned Zygons (!) but they didn't whow them, too bad. They were one of my favorite Tom Baker era aliens.

Well, already has killed if she's already in prison! A thread for next year, perhaps?Except for the 'wonderful person' she's supposed to kill.^Or she'll escape and save everyone in some manner we can't guess, the Doctor will be set free and the TARDIS explosion will un-happen.. To be fair, it never really was a mystery.* I was happpy to see River not spending half the story wisecracking and tryign to show up the Doctor. Though I was a bit dissapointed that Moff dismissed the whole 'who taught River to fly the Tardis' mytery with just a throwaway line.
Yeah, that's the rationalisation we have to make.I think they only showed creatures for whom they had the costumes lying around. Hence the difficult to explain presence of the Silurians (thought I hate to acknowledge them as such).
I'm guessing the Silurians are from the future (i.e. after their 1000-year hibernation). In the beginning of Cold Blood, the Silurian doing the voice-over at the end talks about everything the Doctor is going to lose. Since the voiceover Silurian talked about how humans and Silurians are now sharing the planet ("after our 1000-year sleep"), I presume he is from 1000 years in the future, and since he talks about "[the Doctor's] greater losses still to come" (or words to that effect), I presume he already has knowledge of the events in The Pandorica Opens and The Big Bang.
So basically, I'm guessing the Silurians we see travelled back in time from the year 3020.
Good point.I think they only showed creatures for whom they had the costumes lying around. Hence the difficult to explain presence of the Silurians (thought I hate to acknowledge them as such).
Plus it kinda robs them of a 'big reveal' should they make a comeback on the show.
