watching the 4th season of stargate at the moment i was surprised to see odo again as guest cast, here is the episode

discovered dwight schultz (reginald) before, and know that john de lancie and robert picardo are coming up. quite a lot of star trek heavy weights in the rival show, which i haven't been familiar with before. it's good, outclassing star trek in many aspects imo. had a couple of their 'mirror universe' and 'section 31' episodes recently, and they were done better than by ds9.

Sci-fi actors tend to get cast in roles in other sci-fi shows, so it isn't surprising at all.

Rene (SG1), Meaney (Atlantis), Picardo (SG1, Atlantis), de Boar (Atlantis), Shimmerman (SG1), de Lancie (SG1), Obi Ndefo (SG1), Wallace Shawn (SG1), Ricky Worth (SG1), Gwynyth Walsh (Atlantis) have all appeared in both Star Trek and in one of the Stargate series and about 20 more actors who has appeared in one of the other Star Trek series.

In general, the Stargate franchise has a habit of recycling actors from other Sci-fi shows. In the end, SG-1 had two former Farscape main cast members and Atlantis had one Star Trek Voyager (Picardo) and one Firefly main cast member as part of their own main casts.

cox plays a ruthless antagonist, senator and later the president of the us. watched him last night in the 4th season episodes chain reactions (a section 31 theme) and the outstanding 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmw_lwJHEQc&feature=related, then jumped forward to 5th season's 2001 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqwhOpC4504&feature=related which is a prequel to 2010. earth walks into a death trap, and suffers a silent holocaust by the hands of an advanced and cunning ally. great stuff, gave me the goosebumps.
