How many "David Mack is great" threads have we had now? The guy's ego must be though the roof.
well it might be a lot of threads but the guy deserves the credit. his books is the reason i started writing.

I got one of my friends, who doesn't read Trek novels, but likes the shows, and he's really enjoying the Destiny trilogy.
I'd say the 'David Mack is great' threads are warranted.

I don't really have one favorite writer, but David Mack is definitely one of my favorites. Pretty much everything I've read/watched of his has been great. It turns out he was already one of favorites before I even knew who he was, because Starship Down and It's Only a Paper Moon are two of my favorite DS9 eps.

Seriously though, if you are a fan of David Mack, you simply must read The Calling. It's a gripping tale with mystical elements and an interesting mythology that the (hopefully) first book barely scratches the surface of.
