I wasn't talking in a mod capacity. I was talking in a "that '616' shit is stupid" capacity.
I'd accept something like that only if the Nazis show up and Cap kicks all kinds of ass while looking goofy.
Then, of course, he gets to the present and wears a non-goofy version.

It's been "The Marvel Universe" or "MU" for decades, then the Web comes along and it somehow becomes "616." As far as I can tell, it's because people are tired of having nerds go, "Which Marvel Universe are you talking about? The Age of Apocalypse Universe? The Ultimate Universe?"
When, of course, it's perfectly obvious which one is intended.
Maybe I'm just old. I hate it when people call Star Wars "A New Hope," too.
Edit: Apparently, Joe Quesada and Tom Brevoort hate it, too, but the Internet thinks they're blasphemous vermin who need extermination, so I guess I'll be next against the wall.

The costume designs look great. Nice job by the filmmakers. However, the head has a real "condom" look to it that's slightly disconcerting. It needs something up there, if not the wings then something else.
Reminds me of when I see Superman costume concepts that remove the red over-underoos and it's all blue... it just looks like he has long johns on.

Agreed. "616" is the Internet's "smart" way of differentiating the Marvel Universe and the Ultimate Universe, and because using numbers, instead of a few words, sounds so much cooler, it became part of the lexicon. "616" means nothing to anyone outside of the comics-familiar population.

I love it, and hopefully that's accurate to what we'll get in the movie. My only gripe is with the helmet, as well; it looks fine in a profile view, but looking at Cap straight-on, the helmet looks kind of awkward. At least there aren't any wings on it.
