Over-Used Net Expressions

Dude, I just read that and still didn't remember what it stood for. Oh man...

wait, I was about to use another overused saying.

*facepalm*

QFT is over used...had no idea what it meant for the longest time.

Quoted For Truth

I assume is it's common use.

The Internet has given rise to a horribly disturbing trend: The horrific "third." Example:

emot-allears.gif
I think that Christian Bale is not only the best actor working today, but also the most adorable.

Seconded.

Thirding this!

God damn it, Internet, "second" is a verb meaning "to assist or support!" "Third" is not a verb! It has no such meaning! Stop doing this, you miscreants!

I also support this statement.

I don't agree with die in a fire and too long didn't read, I've never even used those myself and I've been chatting since the days of BBS boards on a 9600 baud modem, and was there through all of it during the AOL chat days. This stuff isn't as common as they make it sound.

The others are ok, they should add LOL and several others over those two.

What about ROTFLMAO?

My partner says that out loud a lot, and I cringe. Normally, it's something like this:

Me: Kate Mulgrew has been caught having an lesbian affair with Jeri Ryan.

Her: What? Seriously?

Me: Yup

Her: W-T-F?

Me: I don't know. It's kind of cool, though...

Her: OMG? WFTBBQ!

Me: No... I'm just yanking your chain.

Her: Ah... LOL... ROTFLMAO.

Me: No you're not, and please use real words. You're offending my degree.

That needs to become a thing.

Seconded. ;)

I like QFT... but I know I've been using LOL too much... tho I use it more to express amusement, when I can't use or am too lazy to find an emoticon... not so much for "laughing out loud" because that would give me wrinkles.
