Sex and the City: with or without the movies?

Do you prefer Sex and the City, both the series and the follow-up movies, or do you prefer just the series?

I prefer the TV show for one reason - I didn't see it constantly advertised everywhere.

Both the movie and the TV show are about a group of vapid, ugly, middle-aged size queens who are also apparently racist now too. Not exactly my cup of tea, old chap.

I liked the series quite a bit, though I didn't follow it religiously. The first movie was kinda pointless but alright, the second one far too long, boring and seriously pointless...
The series had a nice, fitting finale, IMO they should have stopped after that.

I agree. The finale had the characters at the right amount of growth from where they started from in the first season. With both of the movies they seem more shallow and airheaded.
