TOS Ship designed like the Kelvin

Some time ago I saw a TOS ship designed just like the
U.S.S. Kelvin, I think it was a page of a calender.
Does such a picture exist?

There's some kit bash versions out there that basicaly use the TOS Connie components rearanged in the Kelvin configuration, but I personally am not a big fan of those, because I think it is logical that the Kelvin has a bigger single necelle and a smaller secondary hull?
Then there's the concept sketch by Church that has a very TOSish look to it, which you might be thinking of, which would be the best basis to start from, IMHO?

If you mean the mesh itself, it's not online... I mean who else uses Anim8or? Even I am in the process of moving onto other software.

In checking out the site, your USS Diligent looks right in line with the original series. It looks like it could've appeared in any given episode then.

Did you ever flesh out the interiors? It'd be interesting to figure where engineering is, the shuttlebays, etc. Great job on all of them!

Look at the image on the page for February, you'll see where the shuttles are stored.

Not so much. I did roughly block things out to see if there was enough room/deck-height for the shuttles:

Particularly like the 'The Cage'/'WNMHGB' pilot-era details - very appropriate for a pre-TOS ship.

No specs as such. I can tell you it's 247 m long.

I class it as a surveyor - dedicated sensor (/deflector) pod and an easily deployable shuttle complement for investigating planetary systems.

It's a close design to the Hermes/Saladin.

The Hermes/Saladin was my starting point for the design. It was my attempt to fix some of the problems I had with the Hermes design (unbalanced look, no shuttlebays, dish-on-a-stick).

Why didn't you give your design the Constitution class engineering hull?

Uhm, I don't think I gave that option much thought. I'm as guilty as anyone for creating ships by rearranging canon designs, but sometimes it's just too easy. Creating something new/different is more fun.


ETA:

I remember now. At the time I created the model I hadn't completed my Connie mesh. I'd built the saucer and nacelles for the Spitfire:



and I decided to see what I could build using those elements, which lead me to the Hermes/Saladin-type design. So, at the time I didn't have a Constitution engineering hull to use. Although, I can't say I would have the used the eng-hull if I'd had already built it.

About the Kelvin, there is a "spine" running from the bridge dome to the trailing edge of the primary hull and the engineering hull is connected to this via a dorsal section.
Is there another "spine" on the ventral side as well, connecting the nacelle?
