My cat is totally stoned on catnip.

The Squeak just looks slightly scared ~ but is very friendly! Must be like 'E' as well I s'pose. I'll just interpret his mieows as "I love you Mum, I really love you. You're sooooo pretty. Can I have some food now ~ I do love you though and will come and sit on your keyboard just as soon as I've eaten".
He wants to Post a drunkl Thread. :bolian:

He's trying but his typing skills are rubbish, especially when he out of his head and we not allowed two accounts from one computer I understand ;)
I've just seen him sniffing along the grass outside and having a good old roll around. I do hope it was catnip he found and not squirrel poop

I think cats are like drones they have a strange one track mind. My cat is always on the look out for tissue paper!

Sometimes he will go batty and run around the living at warp 10! This is sign that he wants to use kitty litter.

Basically Sooty, will attack anything that moves, so the landing party doesn’t stand hells chance of escape.:rommie: Red shirts be warned!

One time Sooty, starred at the wall and I was more curious as to what he might be hearing or sensing? I’ve heard stories that cats are psychic. Or maybe he can hear a mouse squeak behind the cavity wall some 25 feet below as cats have high frequency range of 90KHz/100KHz or a range 40Hz to 90KHz which more than any of us, so we can hear down to 20Hz wow but cat can hear many more octaves above 20KHz.

I wasn’t even aware a mouse squeaks at such a high frequency.

My cat is an indoor type so no change of him, being spiked by drugs by cat haters and there are few of them around.

So maybe the house on the other side is spiking your cat with a high dose of catnip??

 Sir Squeak yowls to the ceiling for no apparent reason.

There used to be a similar looking cat, Roberto, that lived in the flat above. When the owner was away her brother came to feed it. Sir Squeak pretended to be Roberto and snuck up and got fed. It was only when owner got back and found a collar that was not Robertos that Squeak got rumbled!

I love their ways!

Our Tillie gets MEAN. More vicious and evil than normal. And she's pretty vicious and evil normally. Scheisse gets even more paranoid than usual. So, basically, I'd say the 'nip elevates whatever their personality is already.

We used to have cats that would open the kitchen drawer where the 'nip was hidden and pull it out and chew through the plastic bag. Junkies. :)

Squeak just gets more affectionate. I was laying on the sofa last night and he just came and plonked himself full length right on top of me, then layed his head on me. Very sweet, but a tad inconvenient as I couldn't reach my wine

He does open the cupboard for his food though ~ very thoughtful :)

Arguably animal abuse. How can a pet consent to taking a hallucinogenic substance?

LET'S NEUTRAL ZONE THIS THREAD. :p

How can you stop a cat doing anything? I cannot follow him around in the copse to check what he's eating, anyway he seems happy enough, actually very happy

And as I explained to a neighbour who complained that Squeak liked to cosy up on his warm car bonnet (hood, to yous over there) ~ "I have had strict words with Sir Squeak about his behaviour on your car and he has promised not to do it again". Yeah that worked

Our cat used to like to lay about on top of the Renault 4 -it was a convertible so the roof canvas was a bit like a hammock to a cat and as the car was parked in a car port the cat had the best place: always dry and off ground just under the acrylic roof of the carport where the sun could reach :rommie: She'd actually get angry with us when we were trying to get her off the car before driving - but the moment the engine was started she jumped off!

We've got wild catmint in the yard - it's actually trying to take over it. Everytime Mr. Oldstredshrtevr mows he has to whack around the bushes to scare off all the neighborhood cats who are parked in it. Our cat doesn't even notice it and doesn't like it dried either. Now string - that's a whole 'nother story.

The other neighbour, whose car Squeak would climb on, just leant out the window and activated the imobilser ~ the 'beep beeps' certainly mobilsed Sir Squeak

Give Cat a cardboard box and a small ball and The Squeak will be happy for hours... well actually a few minutes which is about his attention span

Have you tried a laser pointer? Some cats and even a few dogs love to chase that little red spot around!

Some cats -- about 30%, if I remember correctly -- don't have the gene that responds to catnip. One of my two gets high on it; the other walks away.
