Doctor Who Live?

That sounds really cool. Too bad I don't live in Britain. I wish everyone who goes a great time.

i wonder how its truly gonna work as i read in the paper that Matt Smith is going to do video recordsings for it so its just gonna be the monsters live. better than nothing

Same as the Proms, then, just with more of a story to it.

Filming it not only frees up the main actors for other commitments, but from what we've heard Matt Smith, bless him, is not the most... physically coordinated of people. In a live stage performance, the possibilities for pratfalls or cockups would be huge, though I'm sure he'd have no trouble reciting his lines.

As Moffat said in one if his DWM columns... (paraphrase)

Matt Smith is an elegant accident. We're at a press gathering, he's chatting up some gorgeous lady, spills coffee on her. But, given the Smith charm, it's five minutes later and she's introducing him to her mother. Only Matt. Much later we're heading out, and he pauses to apologize profusely to a completely different woman about the coffee spill. We turn to leave:

Me: "That was the wrong woman..."

Matt: "No, that was the second cup...

I've got no chance of seeing this...but those of you in the UK might be glad to hear it's cloudy in Vegas today. Not quite as grey as Hartnell, though.

No chance here either. but heres hoping there are extensive reports from those who do go. (Is it wrong to hope some You-tuber will sneak a camera phone in?)

Anyway, its nice to know this sort of thing is still going on. Doctor Who has a long tradition of doing stage plays.
