I found it funny that Clark said the kryptonite weapons would only slow down the Kandorians when he and Zod destroyed them several episodes ago because they posed too much of a threat.

Of course, no mention of the most dangerous weapon. Lana Lang. I hated that storyline but TPTB created it. At least they could mention why she's not there.

So that was the season finale' cliffhanger? No next week to see what happens after Clark falls like Jesus? They should have just had Clark go to the new Krypton planet and then come back somehow. A passing DC comics alien character picks him up or something. Maybe a Green Lantern.

Somewhere on the Earth of the Smallville universe Kara Zor-El was surprised to find herself suddenly surrounded by a shimmering golden glow. She had time enough to wonder, "WTF?!?!?" just before being vacuumed into the sky, headed for only Rao knew where . . .

Guy makes sense...once in a while...an interesting possibility that I did not foresee...indeed why would Darkseid be interested in Tess Mercer and Oliver Queen...notice that it was those two that were taken? The two former lovers. I wonder if this means we'll get Big Barda and Mister Miracle cast over the summer time and they rescue them both.

So now everyone agreed that it was Granny Goodness and that Darkseid is coming, who do you want in the roles?

I vote for Betty White and Tony Todd.

Tony Todd would be good, I've always liked him and I enjoyed his stint as General Juma last year on 24. Someone else had mentioned Ving Rhames which would be awesome, but I don't think he's done any TV work since the early days of ER.

Since I'm not as familiar with the GG character, I can't say who I'd cast in that role. I'm guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Although in all fairness, I imagine that Callum Blue's over-the-top accent can go through most anything.

Callum Blue was born in London and his accent was the same in Showtime's "Dead Like Me" series. It may be his natural accent and he was directed to use it.

I figured as much, though I still maintain it can pierce through any form of electronic altering.

CB wasn't bad, but I can honestly say I'm happy that Zod is gone. I'm hoping however they decide to portray Darkseid is a bit more menacing and slightly less hammy.

Didn't stop Shawn Ashmore's twin brother Aaron starring as Jimmy Olsen.

I hope if they do darkseid he won't be some lame nightclub bouncer like we've all dreaded would happen in the past.

Think evil, old crone . . . .

This is the CW we are talking about here. They'll cast someone who is 29 in the role, because that is old to them. :p

Still, they are two different actors (who, imo, look different enough).

Well, we can't complain if they go the Dark Side Club route as it's from the comics.

What if the New Gods Need Human bodies as Avatars? Possibly a link communication like in Roswell od Stargate more so than the earth is too toxic an environment for them?

If they need bodies, the goodguys would use fresh corpses and the bad guys would just still use the living.

Is Justin going to be playing Darkseid, just like Michael once played Zod?

I still think Clark was an ass for not saying "By the way, I Murdered your son last year" and hells bells Lois was Faora... that could have amounted to some thing interesting? Clones vs Phantoms struggling for control of these fresh bodies?

You know what's funny?

This "new world" that they speak of, is probably the Phantom Zone.

Consider.

What if the Book of Rao was written before the Zone was designated as a prison? Because this seems exactly the sort of mode of transport one would take into the Phantom Zone.

Besides going to the zone doesn't make you a phantom, it must be some additional Kryptonian corporal punishment that they strip you of flesh before they send you to that fairly ordinary world that just happens to have been zoned for Phantom residency?

If it is the Zone?

The kandorians are going to come back pissed, even super pissed and do some AWFUL things to Kal and earth to express just how super pissed they are.

The firs two minutes and the last two minutes of this episode was EPIC! Its a shame its not like that in more and more episodes fully. SUPERMAN it is!

So Book of Rao was Deus Ex Machine...just like that thing Lex used against Clark at the end of Season 7. Jor-El sure loves his deux ex machinas!
