Can I have your sports?

The sports section is the very first part of the paper I read after I bring it in. It's part of the morning ritual of fresh brewed black coffee, the sports section and CNN on the tube.

The rest of the paper usually waits until lunch or when I get home.

The only part of the paper worth reading these days is the Funnies.

Sports bore me more than nuBSG and nuTrek put together.

The sports section is the first section I read. Never really seen anyone so anti-sports section as you are trekker. It's only a section that get's recycled at the end of the day.

I stopped reading our local sports section when I got sick of their bias. Even if the Giants won and the A's lost the night before, the A's would still get the front page article about "what a tough loss" they had suffered. Not to mention that I just about always know how a Giants game went by the time its over, having either watched it on TV, heard it on the radio, watched the play by play on my phone or was actually in the stands.

And at no time during any of these activities do I masturbate. Just thought I'd let that be known.

Tell you what: I'll stop asking people for the sports section on the day that Trekker posts a thread that isn't either an outright or thinly veiled complaint about something that bugs him.

Nah. Reading your posts makes me feel better about my own life and it's relative lack of annoyances.

It must suck to wander through life being pissed off by so many insignificant things. :(

Says the guy who himself just made a thin complaint about my complaint threads. (Which this one wasn't, just a question on what people here do with their sports section as it is my presumption that on the whole Trek fans are not largely sports fans and just ignore the sports section.)

Prediction: Within 5 years the phrase "go postal" will be supplanted by increasingly relevant "go deli-counter".

Ah yes. The whole "make fun of Trekker because of his job even though I obviously don't know what it is" card.

Go fall down a concrete staircase into a pile of trashacans dickhead.

Aw, that hurt. Maybe I should start a thread about it.

Nah, I wouldn't want to go all "Manager of the Meat Dept. who actually spends most of his time doing paperwork and determining specials".

Hmm, actually that just doesn't have the same ring to it.

So you intentionally say the wrong thing in an attempt to illicit a response out of me. Hmmm, I think there's a term for that...

^^ Enough, both of you.

Trekker, you have a Warning for Flaming.

Colonel Green, you have a Warning for Trolling.

Comments to PM.

Well, wonders never cease!

Finally! Soemone attacks me and trolls me because of my choice of ocupation and they get a warning for it!

Wow!

Color me shocked.

Here's another thought.

Does it count as theft if one takes a newspaper off the shelf, reads it, then puts it back on the shelf without purchasing it?

No, because the paper would remain in the possession of the people selling it, allowing it to be purchased by another customer.

Someone should tell that to that bitchy worker at a book store years ago that "this isn't a library, sir" when I was reading a chapter. I promptly left, went to the rival bookstore and bought the book. :)
