There's something I like about newspapers that you don't get from reading the news on the 'net. And I like to unfold my neatly put together paper and read each section after the other. No sharing until I'm done.
I skim through the whole paper: everything from the gardening, entertainemnt and homes sections to sports; the advatorials, the business, classefieds, local and international news pages. If I don't read the articles entierly, I still get a sense of what's going on just by reading the headlines and the first couple of sentances. That is how newswriting is designed, is it not?
When I'm done, I either recycle the paper if I'm at home, or leave it on a bench or table or someplace someone else can grab it.
