Betty or Veronica

Yeah, I weighted the OP queston porly. but aside from hair-color they're both physically the same (and they both have as much trouble as Megan Fox when it comes to tugging their lips closed) but I just couldn't think of anything good to say about Veronica. She always came across to me as spoiled bitch. She was always emptying Archie's pockets on their dates, on gifts for her and always complaining about his jalopy. (Betty loved Archie's jalopy and even maintained it for him.) No that Veronica would laugh at and spit-in-the-face of a poor person but she was hardly 100% nice to Betty all of the time either.

Veronica, to me, was a bitch.

Hmmm...

Is it bad that I think an angsty, well-done, CW teen-drama centered around Archie would be awesome?

Out of morbid curiosity, is every event from past Archie comics in continuity? Do the characters age, or have they been in school for more than the standard time?

They've been in for ages. The comic itself gets modernized every now and then but they've been in high school for like sixty years. And there's zero continuity to speak of.

Veronica has higher standards in a boyfriend, and it's entirely up to Archie whether he wants to try to live up to them. He keeps trying, so she's not so spoiled that it's actually a turn-off to him. (Again, he could always give up and tap Betts full time. He doesn't.)

And his jalopy was shit, and never more than a "poor teen's first car" cliche in the first place, and the creators acknowledged that by getting him a newer and better car. (a "classic" Mustang yet.)

Betty also kept a poster of Archie in her shower. Don't make a further sign of psychosis out to be the love of a natural car enthusiast.

I've yet to meet any girl that was 100% nice to any of her girlfriends. Ever.

And Betts tried to kill Arch for cancelling a date. I'll take a spoiled bitch over a homicidal stalker any day.

Geeez! Don't give nobody no freakin ideas!!!!!

If "done right" I would love such a show as I always loved the comics. I hated the TV movie that came out 10 years or so ago.

But I would love to see a well-done evening TV drama in the Archie universe. What up coming/present stars could pull off the characters?

Eliza Dishaku (?) as Veronica?

Veronica Mars chicl as Betty?

I think a "Dramedy" would work better. They can take the conventions of your typical CW teen-angst show and spin them. Archie would be the perfect vehicle for that.
