70 Years of No Food

That's how long a man claims to have gone without eating.

(LINK)

Yeah ... and I haven't masturbated in decades. :shifty:

I know over there uneducated people probably fall for this, but I have to wonder if those who know better still fall for this bullshit.

Reminds me of that actress who claimed she hadn't farted in something like 20 years.

^ No kidding. In our house we either say we are venting plasma or we say, "Don't come any closer. I'm a gaseous anomoly." I swear.

Why do you think you are qualified to call it bullshit?

HUMAN BEINGS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!

Seriously though I'd place about as much creedence on this man's claim as people who claim to have traveled in time or been visited by aliens. In fact I'd be a bit more inclined to believe the alien people.

But it says in the second sentence of the article that the Indian military doctors observed him for two weeks - and according to them, he never ingested anything.

:guffaw:

I just read this out loud to my husband and he said, "I wonder what Data does?" My response was "Pop out the occasional wingnut." I'm sure others will come up with better responses. :)

Reminds me of the scene in Mel Brooks' Silent Movie where a wooden merry-go-round horse lifts its tail and craps alphabet blocks.

Yes, a 2 week observation.
It states in this article that a person can go without water for eight days - but only in extraordinary circumstances. So, he lasted at least six more days than he should have.

Did each of the doctors have him under total observation for the whole two weeks, never taking their eyes off of him?

If not, than maybe a staff member, or even one of the doctors themselves, sneaked food and water to him.

It says in the article he had limited contact with water, taking a shower and gargling, so apparently he just drank the water then.

The doctors say they measured the amount of water he spat out when he gargled.

My favorite quote..."You can hold a lot of water in those yogi beards. A sneaky yogi for certain."

Sneaky serene yogi surreptitiously storing sodden succulent substances subjacent to his stubble.

And just because...
