I just saw it today. I was all excited to see it, but it was full of suckitude. Perseus doesn't want his daddy's lightsaber or his cool flying horse. The Kraken works for Hades now instead of Poseidon. When he shows up he should have threatened to make them watch the English Patient instead of releasing the Kraken-they would have given in immediately.
The hero and friends go on a long journey to the desert and meet Djinn or Jinn or whatever you call them. What the hell are they doing in this movie? They ride around on giant scorpions after the scorpion fight.
The princess of Argos is Kira from Chronicles of Riddick. Perseus doesn't exactly fall head over heels for her. She doesn't even seem that relevant to him, despite the fact that his whole mission is to save her. The city wouldn't have been destroyed because they were gonna sacrifice her anyway. He is in love with Io instead(wasn't she a big fat cow?).
Hades has this plot to get power by killing everybody and making them afraid in this one city, like it would unseat Zeus. Zeus wouldn't get enough prayer or worship to keep juiced up, but it is just one city. You get to see Qui Gon Zeus a few times, but he doesn't meddle like Sir Lawrence Olivier did all the time.
I was just disappointed. What did you think of it?
