Sci-Fi Elements In Spy Fiction!

Truth_Seeker

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Laser pens, X-Ray goggles, sonic weapons and Rambaldi devices. Spy fiction seems to be full of cutting edge technology that pushes some movies, books or TV shows into the Sci-Fi genre.

What are your favourite Sci-Fi elements in spy fiction?

The old super-car classics. Smokescreens, oil slicks, and ejector seats. Plus all the gadgets in the Mach 5.

And wrist radios. Much cooler than cell phones or bluetooths.

Invisible Aston Martins, remote drive BMWs and electro-shock cell-phones.

JB's Aston Martin got invisible! Which movie was that in?

The remote drive BMW was great!

Has anyone seen "Echelon Conspiracy" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1124039/).
This is basically a Sci-Fi movie, but I can't explain why because it would be a major spoiler.

NSA's main computer called "Echelon" develops an artificial intelligence and causes a lot of problems.

The Prisoner is filled with futuristic interrogation and conditioning techniques. The memory machine (which combines some sort of recording technology with hallucinogens, as I recall) from "A, B and C" comes to mind.

You Only Live Twice - Blofeld had a reusable spacecraft years before the Space Shuttle came along. And he lived in a hollowed out volcano with gigantic sliding doors over the crater. Now, that's style.

Mind you, Drax in Moonraker went one better. He had his own private space programme, and had secretly put an entire space station into orbit.
