So I 'copped the hump' at work on Saturday.
I work in the cafe/bar of a Golf Club and on Saturday 'someone' neglected to tell us that there was a tournament on. 40 kids and their parents, brothers and sister, grandparents all descended on us at 1pm.
I had another member of staff 'G' but she buggered off at 2 for that was when she was suppose to go.
So from 2 ~ 4.30 I was on my own. The chap that owns the place was there and I made it quite plain I was not happy, why were we not told? We had little stock, no change and just me to cook and serve the bar and waitress and clear up. If I'd have known we could have planned staff, food, etc. and taken much more money. So he sent up a guy from the pro shop downstairs to help ~ he was 16, couldn't work the coffee machine and not able to serve alcohol! So that did not help AT ALL!
I ended up staying 2 hours later than I was suppose to finish because they had a presentation at 6pm and I couldn't leave the other girl that came in at 4.30 on her own. And from my other thread you may know I was already panicking about having Sis in Law round for the evening.
So basically I left a rant in the handover book and have had a phone call this morning from my boss, who was off this weekend, as they are starting an 'enquiry' into why this occured. I know full well who is to blame, as does the owner. He who is to blame is not a fan of mine anyway and I don't think this will help and I don't care!
I work for minimum wage and do not need this crap.
I did right yes? I may only be a waitress but I'm damned if I'm going to be treated like shit!
[End of rant]
So any other stories of work related complaints and how did they go?
