Star Trek Enterprise B or C, or E

Evil Person

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Red Shirt
I think they should make a series on Enterprise B,C, or E, it would be fantastic, and the recently made a movie about E in what 1998, now we just get all the actors from first contact or nemisis, whatever movie they made last, and make a tv show.

I kinda thought back in 1999 or 2000 there was a chance that Series V could have been a "Star Trek: The Lost Generation" show featuring the Enterprise-B (we have no idea what became of that ship or how many captains she had), but I think the opportunity for that has long since passed, IMO...

You know, if CBS asked a million random people to pull some new series idea out of their ass, I bet at least one of those ideas would be good.

The Enterprise E was last seen on screen in Nemisis in 2002, not 1998, that was when Insurrection came out. I also think the the characters of Harriman (b) and Garret (c) are not strong enough to carry a show.

Of course, since Harriman was the first captain of the B and Garrett the last captain of the C, there's room for other captains. :)

Captain Garrett was definitely capable of carrying a series. She was really cool and definitely a disciple of Robauism. :techman: :D

But she couldn't carry an Enterprise-C series now, as the actress would be twenty years older than when she died in "Yesterday's Enterprise."

In any case, as has already been pointed out, Garrett doesn't have to be the C's *only* Captain. We have no idea when the ship was commissioned, or when Garrett took command. So if a C series started, they could use anyone.

Basing a series on a Trek trivia item would only be beneficial if it helped put eyeballs in front TV screens. The old Enterprises are useless in that respect since they're meaningless to everyone except us (and we'll tune in anyway).

If they were going to use an obscure ship from Trek history, then the Stargazer would be the best choice. The adventures of young Picard would be far more marketable than the adventures of Rachel Garrett.

(I nominate Harry Lloyd to play young Picard, BTW. :bolian:)

If I was looking at Enterprise B Iwould make Demora Sulu the captain as in The Lost Era as Jaqueline Kim would be the right age now.

There is roughly 80 years in between Kirk's era and Picard's. Though we know roughly how things go, there must be a few stories worth telling. How the Klingons and the Federation made peace, why the Romulans isolated themselves. Anything to keep that $%#@ Abrams out of the director's chair.

Trek is about the Undiscovered Country, imo. I am always slightly disappointed when it refuses to do what it should, move onward into the future. That's why TNG worked. It moved far enough into the future that it could be its own thing. The next Star Trek tv show ought to follow that example. Boldly go, where no one has gone before dammit!

I'd rather watch an Equinox miniseries (it would be too depressing as an actual series). I doubt it would ever actually be made but I personally would love it.
