Thank you. I was pretty proud of finding some of these. The only one I lost that I liked was a pic by "Something Awful". It was a picture of a three orange silhouetted Star Trek characters on the Holodeck with some silly joke about it all being a holodeck adventure.

So a couple years ago during the 2008 Presidential Primary season someone had brought up Photoshopping the candidates into Star Trek, and I took a stab at it (here and here). This is the full series of images...

Obviously at the time McCain had locked up the Republican nomination, while Clinton and Obama were still battling it out for the Democratic nomination.

So the election is long since over, but I've noticed that the Obama image has taken on a life of it's own... with either copies or hot linking of the image in all sorts of places. It is the single most requested file on my site. Strangely enough, people have applied all sorts of ideas as to what it was supposed to mean... when in fact there wasn't any meaning to it (I had done all the candidates, not just Obama).

Anyways, I just thought I'd share that interesting development. Ya never know how any of these things are going to turn out once out on the web.

I've never used any of the image hosting services around the web, I've always hosted my own images. But just about every image I've ever posted in a forum comes from www.shawcomputing.net. Last time I checked I had well over 800 images in the directory I use for sharing images in forums and the like.
