    Such a naughty thread title....

I can't say I'm all that excited about it...I'm not totally convinced about Whiplash. I expect it'll be a fun movie, but, for some reason, it's not on my Must See Opening Day list.

^Wow, that figure is infinitely better than some of the lame action figures Hasbro has been putting out for their regular line. That one is bigger, more articulated, and just a much better figure. I'm definitely going to buy that when I can.

Also, on the topic of posters, the Iron Man films have generally mediocre or bad posters. It was the same case with the first film and now the second.

As for the film, I am relatively looking forward to it. I thought the first film was a genuine surprise, even though it was extremely over-hyped (it was basically a generic action/superhero summer blockbuster -- the only thing that made it unique was the added presence of Robert Downey Jr.). I have a feeling the second film will just be more of the same, and plus, my friend who works at Marvel said it was awful, so that diminished my hopes a bit. We'll see, though. I have an open mind.

Yeah the regular line is just bleh

For the Marvel Select figure, articulation sucks, paint chips easily and the unpainted eyes are unforgivable.

Ofcourse there's a middle ground. Marvel exclusives to Walmart which features........

Don't forget that the novelization comes out tomorrow...Chapters already has 18 copies in already. Will probably be picking up a copy next week.

At last, somebody cast a woman in a comic book movie who can actually make the outfit work.

^I thought Alba looked good in her uniform. That is to say, the faux-blonde hair was terrible, but everything below the bangs looked nice.

    Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

^I have nothing against Jessica Alba, and I hated all the disgusting "the only Latin women with blonde hair are hookers" talk we got on here, but I think Sue was miscast.

They got Reed, Johnny and especially Ben right, but Sue didn't feel right at all.

We hear that Scarlett will bring her Black Widow character to The Avengers. I'm all for female superheroes, but what does the BW bring to the team? She has no powers to speak of. I'm sure she can beat up security guards, but that seems rather meaningless next to heavyweights like Iron Man and Thor.

^She pulls her weight, don't worry.

Let's put it this way, she was a valuable member of a Mighty Avengers team that included Ms. Marvel, The Sentry, Ares and Iron Man.

Some jobs require a bit of subtlety, which isn't exactly Thor's strong suit.

You know, for all the complaining that's done about CGI sometimes, some days it still amazes me. If I recall correctly, while filming that shot, RDJ did not have an entire costume on, it was just around his shoulders and maybe his hands. I might be wrong, but isn't the majority of that suit CGI in that photo?

Aside from the knee cap everything below the waist is CGI, amazing.

Wow.. impressive. I suppose that'd it be hard to get him up there with the full bulky armor they had, plus who knows maybe they were still locking down what the Mark IV would look like, and didn't want to just recycle the old Mark 3 suit - plus wasn't that some of the footage that was shown at last year's SDCC? But that's amazing CGI, you don't even know or realize it unless you see the before shot.

That is just such a cool image. I mean hey if I had a suit of powered flying armor, I'd hang out wherever the frak I wanna hang out! If that means I'm gonna go and walk in to a donut shop, buy some donuts and a cup of coffee and park my armored ass up on top of the building inside the giant donut where no little kids can go "Hey Mr. Stark can you blast something? Or can I play with your helmet? Or can I have ten dollars?"
