Right now... what the fuck is happening? I've just had the longest gun-fight in my entire career and I'm not entirely sure I killed anyone. I've only killed a handful of people in the last 13 hours?! And the people I work with.. wait, one of them is a mole all of the sudden? Does that make any damn sense compared to everything she's said and done today? Couldn't she have sent one of her terrorist buddies out to kill Redneck DiCaprio Pedophille Van guy? Sheesh. What the hell is going on today? I'm retired federal agent Jack Bauer and today is the last day of my life.

The following takes palce between 5:00AM and 6:00AM.

Events occur in real time.

----------------------------
Kiefer Kill Kounter
1. Henchman #1 - Axe
2. Henchman #2 - Axe, Gravity
3. Davros - Handgun
4. Vlad Stooge #1 - Knife to jugular.
5. Vlad Stooge #2 - Gun
6. Russian Stooge #1 - Taint neck break.
7. Russian Stooge #2 - Knife
8. Russian Stooge #3 - Gun.
9. We'll be generous and assume he killed one of the marathon shooters. - Gun.

Rene Kill Counter
1. Vlad - Knife
2. Random marathon shooter - Gun
3. Random marathon shooter - Gun

Well, I'll still be watching in the hopes that somehow the writers make the whole Dana being the mole and pulling it out of their collective asses interesting but I don't have any hope. I'm really just curious where they go with the whole thing, which probably won't be worth it in the long run.

Next week is the two hour event that I've been waiting for too. Maybe something interesting will happen in the next few weeks to actually give us a clear thing on what this season is about. We are in the second half now and I still don't really know what this season will be remembered for.

I knew the Dana plot would tie into the main plot. I should have called it.

But has it? The first 12 episodes show no indication of any mole like activity and the whole Kevin plot seems completely disconnected and unrelevant to her role as a mole. So out of left field its like the writers had a sudden realisation that her character, thus far, has sucked balls and decided to throw in this curve ball in a last ditched attempt to make her interesting. Yet they did so without considering the fact that all her actions up to date make ZERO sense and that the Kevin fiasco makes even less sense, if possible, now that we have had this revelation.

I didn't realize that we were having a two-hour event next week. Huh. Well, I too, hope something memorable happens. It pains me to say this, having watched this show from the beginning, but I think perhaps it's best if this is the last of Jack's 'longest days'.

:(

The thing is, and I don't know when and how the episodes are filmed, if this switch on her character is because they realized her story wasn't going anywhere.

I'm wondering if they'll take a different direction with the resolution of the 'day' now that this is the end for 24 (I'm assuming that they hadn't written the ending yet at the time the announcement was made about the cancellation, though I could be wrong).

I think for fun, we should all try to envision what the ending will be like. My guess is that the action will move underground into the subways, where Jack will discover that what the terrorists are REALLY after is the key to arm the Alpha/Omega bomb... the Doomsday Bomb.

After an intense firefight and a rhetoric-filled speech by the Big Bad Guy, Jack gets peppered with bullets and falls onto the console for the A/O bomb. "Damn you all to Hell!" Jack snarls as he pushes the button that activates the bomb. Big flash, the screen goes blank, then silence as we see...

Just my .02 worth.

:p

I hope they go out with a bang. 24 and its fans deserve it.

In the meantime, I stand by my prediction last week. Since this season has established the infinite power of the Arkansas Board of Parole, I'm predicting they'll send someone over to investigate the disappearance of Arkansas Milton in the first five minutes. ;)

"What did you do?! All he wanted was his stapler!"

You know what I would like to see be the end of 24. Jack going out to Lunch/Dinner or going to the Bathroom. Just be completely random and have something that's never been seen on the show ever. Would be fun. ;)

Getting to the end of my care level for the Dana story, I'm really hope we're going to get a Cole/Dana head-to-head showdown this episode and we can just be done with it. Although I have a feeling the first time she'll escape because he won't to shoot her.

Well, if they want to go into movies I doubt we'll see Jack die "today."

I want to see a Jack vs. Starbuck scenario. I want Starbuck to be the mastermind behind all of it on Day 8 because the only person that damn show right now who I believe could take on Jack and hold their own is KARA FRAKKING THRACE!

The two hour is next week, and not today, right? That is they aren't doing something like that tonight,a re they? I am somewhat looking forward to the episode, but good to see that others are confused by the Dana is a mole thing. Does this mean that her actions with redneck boyfriend was to protect her cover that protects her cover? Yeah, I don't get what i just said either.

That would be great. I picture it this way:

Hastings: Jack, we've got another situation I'd like you to look at, pronto.

Jack: It can wait. I've got to take a dump.

I'm begining to think the "Viewer Discretion" thing anymore is less about the violence and more about the stupid plot twists.
