Does this include Generations as well as flashbacks and timetravel episodes set in the Kirk era?
"I mean, for crying out loud, it's just a TV show!"For the record, none of it really happened.
Correct. For the record, none of it really happened.
For the record, none of it really happened.
WHAT! But, but...For the record, none of it really happened.
For the record, none of it really happened.
"Disregarding" everything that followed Kirk's era as "non-cannon" strikes me as going overboard. I don't particularly care for 19th century American history but I don't just pretend it didn't happen. Like it or not stuff did in fact come after the Kirk era.
...Someone telling me that they completely disregard all events after TOS is meaningless to me, because I don't feel the same way, and it's pointless to even have an argument with that person...
My sig says it all.
And I get blasted for it often enough, too.
I've long held the view that over the years we've been seeing different alternate continuities. For me it goes something like this:
TOS-TAS-TMP
TWoK-TSFS-TVH-TFF-TUC and this continuity may be part of TNG-DS9-VOY-ENT
And finally there's ST09.
I will add that I think that something parallel to TWoK through TNG happened in the original TOS continuity only somewhat altered. In no way can I accept anything parallel with ENT in TOS' continuity. TOS' 21st and 22nd centuries were quite different.
What the hell would be the point in arguing about it in the first place? How would that go?
