Giving "Worst Actress Of The Decade" to someone like Paris Hilton is just another way of the voters saying "we have no balls."

Especially in a world where Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Kidman have made films in the last ten years.

Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Aniston? Neither of them are bad actors (though Aniston's films aren't particularly good).

Neither is Bullock, but the point is that they made bad films. I like Kidman, but with Bewitched and The Stepford Wives remake among others she'd have been a worthy winner. Lopez would be good; I'm unfamiliar with Aniston's oeuvre so I can't comment.

Going after Hilton is what's called "shooting fish in a barrel" as well as being a punchline that's passed its sell-by date. Does even Leno joke about her any more?

Aniston just plays Rachel in everything and Kidman just does overrated Oscar-bait.

On the surface it just seems like the typical appeal to Academy voters by playing the vulnerable southern chick routine, but Aniston actually gave a very good performance in "The Good Girl" suggesting that she has more range than most movies she's in would lead you to believe. She hasn't shown it much since, though.
