The 30th Annual Razzie Awards

Orci & Kurtzman certainly seemed overdue with their previous Michael Bay credits, so it's nice at last to see them earn some 'recognition.' (Their acceptance bits were funny, too, so kudos.)

That said, Paris Hilton was the worst actress of the decade? Really?

Well, alright. Eddie Murphy's win certainly seems deserved if only for his long, long line of bad films that littered this decade.

Murphy holds a Razzie record; he won three of the four main acting categories in 2007 for Norbit (Worst Actor, Worst Supporting Actress, Worst Supporting Actor), one for each of his three roles in the movie.

paris doesn't even TRY to act. she's not qualified for the razzies IMO. I think JLo should've gotten that one.

The only movies Eddy Murphy was good or funny in had some connection with animals...
He was terrific in Dreamgirls, a film which might have led to better things (including an Academy Award) had he not immediately gone back to making shit like Norbit.

 at Sandra Bullock for turning up with a trolley with hundreds of copies of her film to give out to the audience.

Yeah, she seems a good sport with a sense of humor which I appreciate. Halle Berry accepted hers in person as well which I would not have expected from her.

LOL she DID!
As I ask why up-thread, has that ever happened before?

Paul Verhoeven was the first nominee/winner ever to show up and collect his razzies for Showgirls, since then there where a couple others...

I think the question was has anyone ever won both the Razzie and Oscar in the same year. And the answer to that is, no. She is the first.

I saw some of her talking backstage, and she said that getting both keeps her humble. I like that.

Giving "Worst Actress Of The Decade" to someone like Paris Hilton is just another way of the voters saying "we have no balls."

Especially in a world where Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Kidman have made films in the last ten years.

Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Aniston? Neither of them are bad actors (though Aniston's films aren't particularly good).

Giving Paris Hilton the worst actress award is a boring choice. She's hardly an actress. She doesn't act much and I'm sure she's not trying when she does. She's rich enough that she doesn't have to. She probably just 'acts' for the hell of it once in awhile. And it's easy to forget what great actors some people can be, just because they've been in a ton of crap movies. For example, watch Jennifer Lopez in "Out of Sight". She was also good in "The Cell".

Aniston just plays Rachel in everything and Kidman just does overrated Oscar-bait.
