OT - Aztec medallion

This is a jewelry I made, an Aztec/Mayan medallion with a representation of the sun. It's 2.6 inch large.

cool looking but I don't see any real Mayan or Aztec connection. Their designs were more organic and intricate. Also they were originally very colorful. Google some up to see what I mean.

Not yet. When I do, I will post a photo at shapeways. The sandstone isn't too pricy, but I wonder if it's any good.

It was made for shapeways printing. In that sens colors aren't an obligation. As for the design, take a look at the Aztec calendar...I have looked at several designs and decide on a more simpler one. For 3D printing, making a complex design isn't always an advantage.

Heh...didn't see the "OT" in the title at first - thought this was going to be a thread about a medallion-sized refit primary hull with elaborate "aztecking" on it.
