Favorite "Oee Off" humor Episodes

What are some of your favorite "on off" humorous episodes?

I think one of my favorites are "Who Mourns for Morn" and "Statistical Probabilities" from Season 6.

What do you mean by "on off" humorous?

edit: Do you mean "one off"?

Either way, my favorite humorous episodes are The House of Quark, Trials & Tribble-ations, and Little Green Men. I love Statistical Probabilities, but I'm not sure I'd call it a humorous episode overall, though it has quite a few humorous moments.

Trials and Tribbleations is my favourite. Some of the Quark episodes are great, some are dire. Magnificent Ferengi, Little Green Men, and House of Quark being some of the better ones.

It's a mostly 'serious-Quark' episode, but Business as Usual has me in stitches at some parts. Mainly because of Stephen Berkoff's hilariously scenery-chewing performance. 'Maybe we should forgo any further attempts at jocularity and stick to THE BUSINESS!'

Same with In the Cards. I love Brian Markinson's performance as Dr Giger. I like weird, eccentric characters on Trek. 'I will not be hounded by the soulless minions of orthodoxy!'

"Take Me Out to the Holosuite" had me HOWLING! :D

:techman: One of my favorites! I dunno what my favorite comedy DS9 ep would be, although I'd definitely put Fascination in there somewhere. I don't get why everyone hates it so much. I thought it was quite amusing.

Does The House of Quark count as "one off", considering it has a sequel? Either way, both that and Looking for Par'Mach in All the Wrong Places are excellent. I'd also nominate Fascination, Our Man Bashir, The Magnificent Ferengi and Who Mourns for Morn.

I'd say "Prophet Motive". I was practically ON THE FLOOR half the time, with all the insane Laurel-n-Hardy-type gags between Quark and Rom--and the crazy Zek thrown in for good measure.

And Odo's lines about his friend-who's-friend-has-a-cousin-who's-wife-is-working-for-the-council-member is gold, too.

Also something to be said for Quark defending greed to the Prophets, Gordon-Gekko-style!

In The Cards was great because the A and B plots were reversed. You had Jake and Nog's attempts to get the card being in the foreground of the episode, and the serious story about Bajor being offered the non aggression pact with the Dominion being the B story.

Yeah, I love "Take Me Out to the Holosuite" alot too. And I agree, that "Fascination" is another good one. My main problem with it is that it featured Lxwuana, a character I hate even more than Pulaski, if such a thing is possible.

I hate Fascination. Do I have to explain why? It's not because it is "space disease of the week" episode, it's because it's a bad and silly SDOTW episode. Good ones, like The Naked Time, use it to reveal some things about the characters and their deeper nature before everything goes back to normal - and then, even after the reset button, we're left with something - a knowledge of those characters' secrets; bad ones like Fascination just use it as an excuse to make everyone act ridiculously out of character and for a lot of silliness to happen, before everyone goes back to normal and the Trek reset button is pushed. It's like a very bad fanfic. Lwaxana is the least of the episode's problems, at least she's one of the few people who don't act absurdly OOC. Miles and Keiko is the only normal and tolerable plot in the entire episode. Everything else is just embarrassing.

"Death to the opposition!"

"I can't believe this--I used to be an athlete!

"At least I remember being an athlete. My third host, Emony, was an Olympic GYMNAST.

"I keep expecting my legs to react like hers did, but I fell all over myself. It's like I don't know my own body anymore...."

( Ezri sure has a talent for "unintentional" sexyness, as her delivery of these lines--and her movements--indicate....)

I thought TMOTTH was a little self-indulgent on the part of the writers (as was the Vic Fontaine stuff)... not all Trekkies are from the United States, Ira Behr! But it did have some very amusing lines, I'll grant you that. 'Find him and kill him!' was classic. 'Death to the opposition!' was great, too!

Yeah, Trek tends to be feel very American sometimes... Most of the world doesn't care about baseball and doesn't understand what it's about.
