Lovin' my TV SHOWS...

Well, I don't know about you, but I am diggin all the shows I am watching...

The Big Bang Theory; best sitcom on TV.

Heroes; This show is good again. I think the actor playing Samuel, Robert Knepper, should get an Emmy

24; Jack Bauer is back, and finds himself trying to reign in another agent from the kind of life he lived..great job!

Lost; Lost got back on track the past two seasons, and opened up strongly last night.

Human Target; A bit over the top, but my family and I are liking this show cause its so charming!

Brave and the Bold; my now favorite of DC's cartoons

Flash Foward; its about to return in a few weeks

Survivor; Heroes vs Villains..I can't wait!!!

Kitchen Nightmares; Gordon Ramsey kicking more butt. He should replace Simon Cowell. I don't care if he has no musical background, at least he'd be honest.

With all these shows back, DVR management is being taken to a whole new level!!!!

Rob

Well, Lost is still good (at least I think it is; need to get around to watching the season premiere). But Heroes is not good; it's worse than ever! It's painful having to watch Robert Knepper being wasted on utterly putrid writing. There should be laws requiring badly written shows to hire only bad actors. :rommie:

Chuck
is okay but the need to change the tired, old premise has resulted in a premise that is workable but really has lost the charm of the first two seasons. I bailed on 24 when it was obvious it would be the same old shit, but I guess I'll jump back in when Heroes is done stinking up Monday nights.

I'll pick back up with V and FlashForward but the former is too vanilla and the later has rendered its own premise stupid with an unwise plot twist, and most of the characters are boring.

Of the stuff I'm watching on DVD: I'm into S3 of The Tudors and for whatever reason, the only character whose story really grabs me is Cromwell's. And I guess I find Mary pretty interesting too. Too bad they can't just continue the story after her dad croaks. The fact that they won't let Jonathan Rhys-Myers become a fat, bloated old goat is absurd. Their use of sex scenes is silly and at times really works against the drama - do these clowns think that sex scenes are anything new to premium cable viewers? Give it a rest, it's boring.

Big Love
's S3 is better than ever.

Best new shows I've seen lately: Archer and Caprica. But the latter's ratings are weak, so maybe I shouldn't get attached.

As of now, I don't really have that many "new" shows. I guess what I am watching:

30 Rock - Not as good as the previous seasons, but still very enjoyable. I wish they hadn't changed Tina Fay's hairstyle though. What was wrong with the older look.

Parks and Recreation - I enjoyed the first season, but the second season is fantastic. This show is hilarious, and I look forward to it every week. So many great episodes this year, with so many left to go.

Glee - Looking forward to it's return

South Park - Doesn't it return in March?

24 - I'm leaning towards not caring that much. This storyline with the Russians and the whole Uranium thing is not that interesting, and other than Renee, neither really are the characters. Too hard to judge Jack since it's been a few episodes since he's really done anything useful. They are also wasting Katee's character, which is a very bad thing.

Survivor - Looking forward to the premiere, but this is something that should have followed the Super Bowl

Amazing Race - Valentines Night it comes back. Last season wasn't all that great. Hopefully they improve on it some.

Doctor Who - When does the Matt Smith era begin again, and by that I mean new episodes start when?

Caprica - I'm liking it so far, even if it's still an infant.

That's pretty much it. I'm waiting for shows to return, but I've really been watching some old shows on DVD, specifically Babylon 5 and Farscape.

Despite some of the utter nonsense on tv, we've never had it good really and I love my tv with such
shows as...

Dexter
The Big Bang Theory
Nu Doctor Who
House
Scrubs
24
Californication
Lost
Bones
Stargate Universe

and thats just US shows ;)

Hmm... I'm watching a bunch of stuff (as always) and delayed viewing has certainly helped in that regard.

Let's see here...

Better Off Ted
The Big Bang Theory
Big Love
Bones (Just started Season 1)
Burn Notice
Castle
Chuck
The Closer
Community
Desperate Housewives (Though I'm starting to lose interest again)

Doctor Who
Glee
Grey's Anatomy
Heroes (I know, I know... I have to finish)
House
How I Met Your Mother
Human Target
Leverage
Lost
The Mentalist
Modern Family (Though I'm behind at the moment)
NCIS
The Office
Private Practice
Psych
Smallville (It's hokey, but so are most Golden Age/Era comics)
Stargate Universe
Supernatural
True Blood
White Collar

Sometimes I feel like you're trying to dislike Chuck, but you just can't bring yourself to do it.

Still need to give Lost a fair shake.

I also haven't seen any damn Brave/Bold yet. I need to though. I've been hearing good things.

Not crazy about Smallville, watching out of habit, I guess. I let Heroes and Lost fall of my radar, but with everyone raving, I may return to Lost, like I have to Battlestar after a couple years off. I guess I never dropped Smallville 'cause it was the least engaging show. Just stupid time-wasting fun, whereas I got tired of all the suspense and cliff-hangery type of shit going on with the more serious fare. Suddenly not caring is incredibly liberating.

Still giving SGU, V and Caprica a chance. 24's less interesting than last season, but I'm sensing asses will be kicked. Chuck is turning quite Norrisey, I could see him taking Jack out. I'm loving Freaks and Geeks, new discovery. :) Can't wait for Dexter and Dr. Who to get back on air. It sucks all is said and done with Dollhouse.

New shows I watch? There's not that many. Well, there's a few, but they all air at different times of the year so my schedule is pretty light.

One Piece
Legend of the Seeker
Venture Bros.
Merlin
Doctor Who
Torchwood
Sarah Jane Adventures

For the most part I've been catching up on some great shows that I missed out on, such as SG:1, SG:A, and Full Metal Alchemist.

Currently on my must watch list:

The Big Bang Theory
Heroes - Starting to wonder why, but only one episode to go
24 - A little slow so far, waiting for it to go nuts...
Batman The Brave and The Bold

Catch here and there when I can:

Daily Show with Jon Stewart
Colbert Report
Late Show with David Letterman

Catching up on:

Alias - Didn't see it much when it was on, my wife and I decided to NetFlix the seasons
Clone Wars - Thought I'd give this one a try, so far it's not too bad. I actually like Anikan Skywalker. He's not a whiny brat (so far)
Doctor Who Confidential
Sarah Jane Adventures

Waiting for new episodes:

Doctor Who
Torchwood
V

I thought about trying out SG1. In fact I tried the first 10 episodes and fell asleep. I have not gotten back to it. I have a friend that wants me to watch Farscape.

The only shows I'm watching lately are Farscape, Lost, and House. And yes, they're all awesome.

I'll be watching Dexter, True Blood, South Park, and Mythbusters when they come back as well.

Because of the availability of shows online, I keep up with many more shows than I used to. Currently I'm subscribed to:

24 - though I confess at the moment I'm heartily bored with it
America's Got Talent
The Biggest Loser
Biography
Bones
Burn Notice
Caprica
Castle
Chuck
Dancing with the Stars
Eureka
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Find My Family
Glee
Inked
Inside the Actors Studio
I Survived...
Lie to Me
Medium
The Office
Scrubs
Stargate Universe
SWAT
Tattoo Highway
V
Warehouse 13

There are really only three shows that I'm following religiously:

24- Waiting for this one to pick up the pace
Monster
Batman the Brave and the Bold

Watch whenever, I can, but don't watch religiously:

Law & Order/Law & Order: SVU
House
Heroes
South Park
The Colbert Report
Human Target

And then the ones I'm watching for the sake of nostalgia:
X-Men/X-Men Evolution

Actually I forgot a few considering they've already finished for the season...

Eureka
Warehouse 13

Then of course I rewatch on DVD whenever I'm bored.
Angel
Babylon 5
Buffy
Deep Space Nine
Farscape
or
Stargate SG-1

I just got Freaks and Geeks a couple days ago. I loved it so much, I ran through all 18 episodes in 2 days, pretty much. I've never connected more with characters (having myself straddled the line between freak and geek), felt more anxious about their predicaments, or been sadder about a show ending. Wow. I was amazed at how 70s-like 1980 was. :) What an incredible love letter and send-off to, musically, one of the greatest decades in recent history. :D Also, the cast. I had no idea this was the start of some of the greats out there, or that Pineapple Express was actually a reunion movie for Franco and Rogen. Awesome!

^Freaks & Geeks is an amazing series (that I sadly only came to know through DVD)

Prime example of a show that "would of been if only..."

So glad you found it and enjoyed it as well.
