I could actually see Christian Bale starring in an Adam West style Batman movie. Bale's pretty hammy as it is.
No love for Eartha Kitt?![]()
That movie really needed Egghead. Vincent Price was my favorite or all the recurring villians.
Incidentally, people who liked the Adam West era really need to check the sublime new Batman cartoon series, "The Brave and the Bold." Should be right up your alley.
And, yeah, Newmar was just more deliciously evil than Merriweather . . . .
Oddly enough the voice of The Brave and Bold Batman, Diedrich Bader, and Adam West once shared a t.v. show (though not appearing together!).

(I was one of the few people who watched it.)
I love the bit with the bomb. It's the only bit I remember. That's just a classic comedy moment, and it's been oft-imitated.
One part where the commissioner asks Batman if he needs police back-up and Batman declines in a manner that almost suggests he thinks Gotham City's PD is useless.
In that show, Gotham City's PD was useless!
One of my favorite moments is when the bat-copter lands in the very convenient pile of foam rubber at the foam rubber convention...and then they proceed to run to the UN to keep up their fitness.
In that show, Gotham City's PD was useless!
Not entirely! Without them, who would've operated the Batphone and Batsignal?![]()
Of course, how else could a masked weirdo and his teenage companion be dually deputized ...? (emphasis added)
Didn't the Bat-Signal mysteriously work in the daytime on that show? Or am I imagining more silly things into an already silly show?
