Batman!

That movie really needed Egghead. Vincent Price was my favorite or all the recurring villians.
Somedays you just cant get rid of a bomb!

Incidentally, people who liked the Adam West era really need to check the sublime new Batman cartoon series, "The Brave and the Bold." Should be right up your alley.

And, yeah, Newmar was just more deliciously evil than Merriweather . . . .

I'd recommend that to fans of any era of Batman, since it manages to incorporate elements from all of them. Not just in terms of the characters it features; it manages to blend the colorful goofiness of the Silver Age (which the West sitcom was spoofing) with the more sophisticated storytelling of today, and on occasion it gets surprisingly dark (at least in contrast to the comics era it's mostly inspired by).

And, yeah, Newmar was just more deliciously evil than Merriweather . . . .

The main thing Meriwether had going for her was the way she writhed and caterwauled, which was probably sexier than you could've gotten away with on TV in 1967. In all other respects, Newmar reigns supreme.

Oddly enough the voice of The Brave and Bold Batman, Diedrich Bader, and Adam West once shared a t.v. show (though not appearing together!).

(I was one of the few people who watched it.)

Hey, that's a good catch! I watched that show too, but I didn't make the connection. Each was the lead of his own 15-minute segment, spoofing '70s action shows. That was the first show I saw Bader in.

Bader also played the lead in The Zeta Project, a spinoff of Batman Beyond, so he's shared episodes with two other Batmen, Kevin Conroy and Will Friedle. Friedle is the voice of the Blue Beetle, one of Batman's most frequent allies, in TB&TB. And Friedle acted opposite Adam West in a Kim Possible episode that was something of a Batman Beyond parody, with Friedle's character becoming the successor to a washed-up, elderly superhero played by West.

One of my favorite moments is when the bat-copter lands in the very convenient pile of foam rubber at the foam rubber convention...and then they proceed to run to the UN to keep up their fitness.

I like when the Penguin dons an "elaborate" disguise as Commodore Schmidlapp, which fools Batman and Robin not at all, and then persists in carrying on the pretense anyway.

Robin: "When you think, Batman, with those 4 supercrooks hangin' around, it's amazing somebody hasn't already reported this place to the police!"

Batman: "It's a low neighborhood, full of rumpots. They're used to curious sights, which they attribute to alcoholic delusions."

Robin: "Gosh, drinking's sure a filthy thing, isn't it? I'd rather be dead than unable to trust my own eyes!"

I like how Batman handles failure.

"Who knows, Robin? This strange mixing of minds may be the greatest single service ever performed for humanity! Let's go, but, inconspicuously, through the window. We'll use our Batropes. Our job is finished. "

Yeah, inconspicuously walk down the side of a skyscraper.

And I love how he explains it away that he saw it out of the corner of his eye.
