Third SG-1 movie is Stargate: Revolution

The point is, dumbass, the same fucking point you just made. Learn to read instead of trying to work insults into the context of an otherwise useless post.

With apologies to Kurtwood Smith... that's an infraction for flaming.

If we go back and look up every little thing that didn't get tied up into a perfect bow we would need another 10 years of episodes. You have a brain, use it and make up your mind on the stupid little things.
And you don't need to be like this, getting so personal in response to someone simply offering an honest opinion herself.

According to this report by Gateworld, SGU is getting an average of 2.6 million viewers. This takes into account DVR recordings, which apparently is about 50% of its audience.

Gateworld is bias.

No one cares how many people watch it if they are not watching the commercials. I can say on average 24 million people watch Fringe, doesn't matter if no one is watching the commercials.

Did you read the link? If you did, you would see that TV by the Numbers collected the data. GateWorld just reported their findings. That is not showing bias.

Besides, the commercials come with DVR tapings. And you still have to see them even if you fast forward through them. With live viewings, you are more likely to avoid commericals (leaving the room, taking a piss, etc) than you would with a DVR. It is not the same world 5 years ago when it comes to figuring out TV ratings.

Maybe, but 2.6 episode ratings get shows canned all the time. The only thing that will keep this show from getting canned with rating like that, is that it's probably (without checking) Sci-Fi channel's highest rated show.

Wow, 50% is a very high percentage. And the messages are still very mixed whether advertisers even care about DVR viewing. It could be that half of SG:U's viewers are just a financial write-off.

Maybe Stargate should just jump to an all-DVD format. Whether by sales or rental, that ensures that viewers are contributing to the bottom line (except for the pirates but we all know they're naughty :p).

Of course that report is ignoring "Justice" which suffered a massive loss in ratings. That 2.6 average is going to drop before the season is over.

It is not ignoring Justice. It was created before Justice's ratings were compiled.

Personally, I think things will be more telling once the series returns in the spring.

Seems Jason is under the mistaken impression SGU is a prequel that takes place before Ronon was born. :wtf:

Well, he actually says he doesn't think there will be a movie. I mean, by now, he is probably right, but hopefully there will be a little bit of a chance of one happening. Kinda neat how the opening scene in the movie referenced his real-life injury.

I still believe they wiill be a movie one day, simple fact is SG makes $$$ and a DVD movie unlike a TV show can draw money from the entire audience and not be directly connected to just the audience of America. Whoever takes over the SG franchise from failing MGM as its set to be sold off in pieces would be mad not to make at least one DVD movie.

Paramount why don't you buy SG from MGM ;)
