So is there going to be an official TrekBBS server where everyone here plays? Or is everyone going to select different servers?

I tried to engage the some borg spheres but obviously my Miranda wasn't ready for that kind of challenge. Took them about 3 seconds to blow me to pieces and I didn't even scratch their shields.

Same here. I also tried fighting the borg drones on Earth spacedock but they kicked my ass too. It was kind of annoying.

How do you visit your ship's bridge?

When in sector space, on the minimap part of the HUD, click the 'more options' button (the down arrow), and you can select 'Go to bridge'. This loads it up like another zone.

I only found that out on Monday night...

Yes, guilds in STO are called Fleets.

I know what you mean ... wish I had the day off :P

I tried to stay on for the end of Beta event but nothing seemed to happen... a few klingon attacks, but I missed all the Borg stuff

I pre-ordered from GameStop but I didn't get a pre-order box so I think I'm missing out on head-start. They did give me a card with a beta key...maybe they thought that was the same thing. (or I could be wrong)

I ordered from Amazon, they emailed me the open beta key, which also counts as early access key..so it says anyway. If not you will hear the screams of anger :P

Gah, I wish I had found that out earlier. Hell, this thread reminded me about being able to go to the bridge!

Also, to rebut someone's post from far earlier -- on Away Team missions, it doesn't take 5 minutes to kill a Klingon! The only way to do that is if you're pretty far in the game and you're using your default, dinky standard issue hand phaser with zero upgrades.

I had the grave misfortune to find myself in Modesto today, but I turned it to my advantage when I realized that Modesto has a number of Del Tacos. I stopped by one and got my collector's cup with the code for the shuttlecraft pet.
