I'm a little intrigued by the pic accompanying the interview. Must have been during the first full ep - he appears to be wearing Ten's (tattered) costume which has clearly suffered some damage along with the TARDIS.

And she's wearing a police woman's uniform? So is the character a WPC (dated term, I know) or does Doctor 11 merely encounter her on her way to a fancy dress party? She looks really young to be a police woman.

You know you're getting old when police officers AND Dr Who look really young ...

Judging by the conversation it was recorded inside "Amy's" house on location for the first episode.

(And it wasn't as if it was being recorded for broadcast anyway.)

Pictures of Smith in tattered 10's clothes were spotted in October.

A good chunk of the BBC's official trailer for the new season also shows him in the outfit. The episodes were shot out of order - it was confirmed that they filmed the Eleventh Doctor's first story in October, but began filming the season in July. They did the same thing with Davison, allowing the actor to get some experience in the role before that all-important first episode. Sad to say, the way current SF fandom's attitudes are, if Smith doesn't score a home run within the first 5 minutes he's toast. Just look at some of the reactions to his first 30 seconds at the end of the Tennant episode.

I hope Karen gets to keep her accent in the show!

Listening to that interview, I yet again get vibes of Peter Davison from Matt. That is a very good thing. I do believe I'm becoming rather enamored of Matt. Methinks I'm definitely not adverse to him anymore, and am actually looking forward to season five quite a bit.

Sad to say, the way current SF fandom's attitudes are, if Smith doesn't score a home run within the first 5 minutes he's toast. Just look at some of the reactions to his first 30 seconds at the end of the Tennant episode.

Fortunately, the opinions of eighteen whiners on the Internet are actually incapable of affecting Smith in any way, much less making him "toast".
