I'm saddened that politics had to ruin something as good and beautiful as teabagging.
It's not my fault the tea party movement is full of racists and sarcastic people making fun of teabaggers.

You're very adept at digging up my old posts when it suits you. Feel free to do the same with this. It's been explained to you on several occassions already.
I'd like to offer a congrats to the Republicans. Maybe Brown was actually good or maybe what's-her-name just fails at life, who knows. I just hope Congress does what is right for the country, not what is right for their own party.
If anything it seems to me that this election will speed up helath care reform. They'll come back to the table with a different bill (hopefully one that isn't a gift to the insurance companies) that won't be what we need but it'll be an improvement over what have now. However, it does mean that the bill will move threw Congress faster. Wait a few years and then push in some more health care legislation. The Democrats will be able to say, "Hey, we passed some reform!" while Obama will be able to say that he's concentrating on jobs. By the fall the unemployment rate will be down and the midterms will go with the Dems still having the majority. They'll lose a few seats which isn't a surprise considering that they have so bloody many. Some Republicans will say, "Ha! Some of you lost!" while the Dems shrug and Obama laughs. Barring a major fuck up he'll cruise into 2012. At which point I'll most likely be in grad school. Weird.
Let's keep the back and forth personal insults out of this and just deal with specifics of this election please. This is not directed at anyone in particular, just a general admonition after some of the comments earlier on this page and the previous page. Thanks.

I know. If he wants to keep his job in 3 years he's going to have to remain that way. The fact that teabaggers are considering this a victory is ridiculous.
We were in line to vote for Scott before 7am (couldn't give him our vote fast enough 
) Tuesday morning. Didn't know him as a state senator obviously, but we'd been following him for a few months with email updates from his campaign. It was awesome to see the excitement and momentum build, and then finally rev up to an explosion. I'm so glad this special election happened here and now in Massachusetts and that we took hold of a collossal, once in a lifetime opportunity to have our say. Based on the many hopes and well wishes from the rest of the country who held out hope for this happy result... I think I can speak for an overwhelmingly excited electorate here in my state when I offer a sincere: you are very, very welcome

Now, replace GW Bush with Obama, Social Security with Healthcare, Democrats with Republicans and run the play again. This time, when asked what their plan is, and the Republicans don't offer one, they're obstructionists.
News flash -- ask any of the thousands of unemployed Americans what they want, and I bet the words you hear are "a job" and not "Government (fucked up) run healthcare".

I'd say you current heath system is pretty fucked out because many of the people without jobs also won't have health care becasue what they would of had though employment is now gone and b) they can't afford it.
Plus when they get the jobs there's no guarentee they'll be able to get their health insurance back especially if they are deemed to have "a pre-existing condition".
And if their new employer doesn't offer health benefits they are going find out just how much it really costs.
