Cinderella story. Outta nowhere...

"...a former state senator, now, about to become a US Senator. It looks like a mirac... It's in the hole! It's in the hole! It's in the hole!"

The Boston Globe reports Martha Coakley has called the Brown campaign to concede.

After voting for 30 years in MA one finally broke my way. And what an election for it to happen on.

Congratulations Sen Scott Brown on a great race and wonderful victory.

I didn't pay much attention to this as I don't have TV; however, based on some observations, Coakley came across as today's Democrat -- a snob who looked down on the People. I love how President Obama picked on Brown for driving a pickup. Coakley may actually be as clueless as Sarah Palin.

Either way, I bet you are absolutely ECSTATIC. I never thought I'd see the day Massachusetts Voters would elect a Republican -- ESPECIALLY TED KENNEY'S SEAT!!!!! :techman::techman::techman:

She was 20 points up in the polls... then took two weeks vacation in the Bahamas, and came back to find her poll numbers 5 points down.

I didn't know you were in Mass, Gertch. Great job for doing your part.

This sends a message that Americans do not want a health care monstrosity jammed down our throats. The dems will surely still try but will pay the price.

I actually was watching MSNBC and the look on Richel Maddow and Matthews .......they just looked stunned.

It's RACHEL Maddow. Can't any of you guys spell?

ETA- seriously, if you're going to gloat, you should at least spell your enemies' names right.

So you won this round. Big deal. Health care is already dead. Brown isn't going to change that.

The Democrats screwed up, plain and simple. I hope they learn from this mistake before the other elections.

I doubt they will.
The only thing I count on is the Republicans screwing up bigger than the Democrats. Politics is nothing more than a clusterfuck of such epic proportions that I can only stand in awe of it.

Politicians do have a tendency to err. I have to agree with you there.

Do you think they'll compound this by attempting to force this bill on the American people or no?
Better than no bill at all, although I would like it to be improved. Something needs to be done with health care in the country and sitting around ignoring it while people die isn't helping.

I liked one of the talking heads on MSNBC tonight who commented that Mass voters may be against the health care reform bill in congress now because they will receive less health care for more money under it than they currently get.

I agree something needs to be done. Just not this.
