Yeah but who wants to host the show of your dreams if it turns out the dream is handled by people who don't give a shit about you? There's a difference between being stuck with the dream and realizing that the dream is perhaps somewhere else.
All I know is I've always liked Conan but the last few episodes have been fantastic!
So it's LENO's fault for not falling on his sword to make people who don't watch his show anyway happy?Scary. Even more reason for Conan to pack up and leave.
This is really all LENO's fault. He should have just left NBC, after his show flopped. He comes off looking like the bad guy, and has given LETTERMAN fodder to shoot his mouth off.
Bad move JAY...bad bad move.

I've been watching the various clips from the different late night personalities joking about the NBC situation. My question is why does Letterman continually take low blow, potshots at Carson Daly? Daly, who has been quiet on this entire matter, has not really been a player in this. If I was Daly, I would be wondering what I ever did to Letterman to receive the continued bashing.

No, it's Leno's fault for saying he'd retire and then changing his mind (thus prompting NBC to offer him a primetime slot to keep him from moving to another network) and then screwing over O'Brien by not stepping up and refusing to take O'Brien's timeslot (which he ought to do if he had any respect for the Tonight Show franchise).
I wonder if this will be the best thing that has ever happened to Conan. I mean, if this works like it did for Letterman and CBS, Conan could be on the air for years (I'm assuming at FOX). I know this is stretching it, especially since this was Conan's dream job to host The Tonight Show, but trying to look at things with perspective here...
Yep..Zucker is a moron. Moving the tonight show to 1205 is a stupid idea. They are only doing this for Leno. What if he died one week into his abbreviated show? Would they, yet again, move the Tonight show back to 1135?

Because it's just a funny situation. Daly is literally the bastard stepchild in all of this... he's given the latest show, and he literally gets no respect. I think Letterman is just poking fun.
Zucker Threatens to Ice Conan -- "I'll Keep You Off The Air For 3 1/2 Years"
This is getting pretty intense, if that report is at all accurate.

I beleive the responsibly then falls to the President Pro-Tempore of the Senate.
Because Carson Daly is a loser that no one cares about and that's why when mentioning the time shift by 30 minutes no has ever said that Carson Daly would move to 2am.
He is a loser, no one knows why he has a show. Was it Craig that said "Having a show at 2am is like not having a show at all".
Also not possible since non-compete clauses aren't valid in New York nor California. The drama continues. I don't think Jeff is thinking this through well:
If that report is accurate, then I hope Conan blows them out of the water. This is beyond ridiculous.

Um, no, that's still more Leno-bashing. Once again, Leno didn't want to leave The Tonight Show, he was told he was leaving five fricking years ago. Leno isn't the heavy here because he didn't want to leave the show to begin with. The only one who ruined O'Brien's show (and Leno's show for that matter) was NBC...Leno is at fault here for many reasons. He knew this day was coming FIVE FRICKING years ago when they announced it. He should have just gone away, like Carson did. He had his time..now he's ruining Obrien's show, and could quite frankly ruin the Tonight show forever because of his unwillingness to leave, and maybe go to Fox....
Jay is the heavy here.
