The A-Team Trailer

The movie looks good! The only problem with the trailer was the over use of fades. I think the longest continuous scene in that trailer was 3 seconds, and couple of times they just faded to black several times during the same scene. It gave me a headache.

I don't see the logic in the studios pulling the trailers. I mean, isn't having it distributed out there a good thing? Doesn't that mean it gets more people interested in seeing it? Not everyone is going to go to the theaters to see trailers or at all unless the movie is "worth it" so having the trailer on-line seems like it'd be a good thing.

^^ according to one of those links, it says the studio will release a high quality trailer next week.

It's not like Mr T was Marlon Brando or Lawrence Olivier. He was a former bodyguard, IIRC. Hardly a greater acting background than being a UCF fighter.

BA is all about attitude, sass and physique. The current actor certainly has the latter and seems to have the other two. If he nails all of that, then he'll be a better Mr T than many a better actor might have made.

The thing about Mr. T, though, is that although he superficially acts like a mean, scary guy, you can tell that it's just a facade and he's really a teddy bear underneath. That's the secret to his charm. Even in the very first episode of the show, B.A. was shown acting as a mentor for a group of children.

Finding someone to play a tough guy is the easy part. Being an endearing, wholesome tough guy -- that's harder to pull off.

My guess is that scarcity will make people more eager or something along those lines. Either that or they've sold the rights to the exclusive release to some company, or have other promotional stuff keyed off of the premier of the trailer that would get ruined by it's early release. Worst case scenario is that it's just some ego thing for the marketing team.

Nice! :)

Will the original actors (Benedict, Schultz, Mr. T) be in it too?

I'd suspect they may make cameos but otherwise play no meaningful parts.

I watched the trailer again, just looks like an awesome, awesome movie it may end up being the best movie adaption of a TV series. But we'll see.

Well, that would be Star Trek now, wouldn't it? ;)

Damn. I just wish in that trailer the score really kicked in to the theme when the trailer kicked into high gear. That would've made the trailer even more awesome.

Yeah. That's what was really missing.

Well, excluding Star Trek which more-or-less became its own "movie series" even after the first movie. The 2009 movie was more of a "reboot" of that movie series. I don't consider any of them to be a movie-adaption of a TV series in the same vain as, say, this movie or countless other movie adaptions of TV series that most notably use a new cast to play the iconic characters. (Which, yeah, the 2009 film does, but again, Star Trek's movie-adaption of a TV series schtick is in a different vain than movies like this one.)

I was a casual user of the original series but not a die-hard watcher. From what I've seen it's actually a heck of a lot better than I expected. It definitely felt like a big-budget version of the show, with the theme song and cheesiness intact. The tank thing was insane and sold me on it 100%.

I do agree that it would've been cool to have the theme song go full blast. I wonder if this is more of a teaser and they're saving that for a larger trailer.

That's possible, hell it's likely the music isn't even fully written yet for this movie.

Well before this gets pulled too, here's a copy of a copy:

Looks better than I thought, just might have to check it out.

*eyes wide* NOOOOO!!! I'd heard that there was going to be a remake, but I was hoping that it was all a lie. Awww, I loved this show so much! I hope they don't wreck it.
Check ou the
Youtube link and judge for yourself?

I love that one line Murdock had, "If you look off to the right hand side of the aircraft you will notice that the engine is on fire." :guffaw:

That line was great. Liam Neeson didn't thrill me, but Sharlto Copley sure did. I think his casting was inspired.

I think he said Right wing not engine on the you tube link.

Anyone else notice that when Murdock does the wing on fire line, BA is being flung around strapped unconscious in the chair behind him?

Looks like they kept his fear of flying, need to knock him out to get him in the plain bit intact.

Yeah, he and Hulk Hogan basically had a lock on the "say your prayers, drink your milk, listen to your parents, oh and I'm gonna break a chair over this dude's head" thing in the 1980s. I remember having a children's cassette tape of Mr. T rapping about school and milk and stuff, "Mr. T's Commandments".

The cool thing about Mr. T was that he seemed so big and strong and tough but yet not really intimidating as long as you were a "good" guy/gal. He was on your team. Like you said, a virtual Teddy Bear inside.

"I am a Night Elf Mohawk!"

Coming Soon has released a new trailer for the upcoming The A-Team remake.

While I'm still hesitant about this movie, I have to say that Sharlto Copley did have me chuckling with the airplane wing line.

However, I hated the voiceover. It was cool that they reused the entire dialogue from the original opening, but the presentation was so horribly undramatic and monotonic.

Thanks for posting that. Stupid flash implementation though.

The end was kinda .... cheesy or even stupid with the tank and the parachutes and Face using the gun.

We'll see what they make of it.

Is any release date set yet?

Well first of all am pretty sure a Tank cannot be kept up by parachutes. The trailer was a little dodgy due to the pacing of it and I was hoping to hear more of the classic tune. However Liam Neeson seemed to have the part down perfectly and the wing line was cool :p

The trailer needed to have Mr.T to wake up on the plane and go I hate flying fool
