unresolved TREK

Now that BERMAN's Trek Universe is done, as it relates to televised trek, what lingering plot thread do you wish had been tied up before it all ended with the last episode of ENTERPRISE..

Yes, I know the books have taken up some of these plot threads, and have done great jobs. But, in this thread, I am not including the books...just the on screen TREK...

The TNG movies and VOY pretty well tied up the loose ends of any 24th century Trek I cared about. The ENT ending ruined the end of that franchise with TATV. The new movie has reinvigorated TOS with all new voyages, so it has not ended. So I do not really have any loose ends to tie up.

I had not thought of any of those until you brought them up. What was she talking about in ENTERPRISE INCIDENT? I don't remember that one at all.

I am one of those who thought ENT attempted to answer more than I wanted to know. I thought Worf answered the 'Klingons look different' question perfectly with, ~"We do not speak of it."

Late middle age is bliss... I only remember what I want to- I guess.

Just seen that ep, and YEAH!

Short answer - the Borg were originally going to be an insectoid race, hence them having a queen and drones and operating as a hive. The parasites were the first wave of their invasion.

However, such a race would have been impossible to portray with TNG's limited budget so they were turned in to the Borg we know today.

- Need to show reunion of Sisko and Picard in order to portray Sisko as superior to Picard to tie up the loose end from Emissary that ludicrously portrays Picard as superior to Sisko, and since there is no closure on that, implicitly leaves it that way forever (which is even more ludicous)

- Need to show what happened to Dr. Geiger, and his invention

- Need to show what happened to Laas

- Need to show what good became of Quark, him idling in the same lousy job forever, for no good reason, is unacceptable bollocks

- Need to show the Sisko returning like he promised to yet never did - major, major loose end there

- Need to show why the Sisko ruthlessly snubbed his own son in order to talk to Kasidy instead

- Need to show the Dominion overthrowing Odo, renouncing the female Founder's nonsensical, insane surrender, and coming back for round II of the Dominion War

- Need to show an insurgency on Feringinar against Grand Nagus Rom and his crazy mother

- Need to show what Dukat's next plan of action is now that he is chilling with his Pah-Wraith buddies

- Need to show where the next Weyoun clone is coming from

- Need to show what happened to Tosk and the Hunters

- Need to show what happened to Kurros and the Think Tank

- Need to show what, if anything, the VOY crew did once back on earth
