Arkham Asylum help!

The Riddler is starting to piss me off. I bought this the other day and have been playing it a lot, and I've been trying very hard not to look up answer online, but I am stumped! I am even more stumped now that I've done some investigation.

I am missing one of the Riddler's trophies in Intensive Treatment. I found a map online that supposedly lists the locations of all the trophies and riddles. The problem is: my missing trophy isn't on the map! It's floating around on the map on my TV, but it's not on any of the maps I'm finding online. Here's a site that claims to have the answers.

I made my own version of the map indicating where my mystery trophy claims to be. I have looked all over the level, and I cannot figure out what the hell is supposed to be there.

My map:

Can someone help?!

Hard to tell, but it looks like it's the one behind the vent about half way up the elevator shaft.

Well, my game must be broken, because I have all of those.

Nope, that was one of the first ones I got.

Or maybe I'm just retarded.

It was one of the riddles. I had found it a long time ago, but I never snapped the picture. Dammit.

Make sure to check the riddler grid thing for an area to see what types of things you're missing, and if you can't find one, move on and maybe it will narrow down as you grab others. Also, if you haven't unlocked all the items (i think the final one is a three pronged batclaw upgrade), you're not going to get all the crap. The secrets maps are very useful, they're almost always on a desk/in an office/etc. They light up conveniently in x-ray vision mode, which I recommend you keep on 95% of the time when riddler hunting.

Oftentimes they're hard to find even with the secrets map because there is some entry point a decent ways away to get to it somewhere in vertical space that isn't represented on the map. I had problems with a lot of the '?' alignment ones and a few of the 'riddles'... like I said it's best to eliminate as many of the trophies as possible so that you have an idea what you're looking for on the tough ones.

Had I gotten to this thread earlier I would've guessed you were looking for the 'scarecrow planning room' that's accessed from a grate near the bottom of the elevator shaft. It's annoying because you see it floating around the upper level, but the entrance is damned far away. It took me forever to find that one. It didn't help that I always got lost on the way climbing to the top of the elevator shaft, so I didn't search the vertical space well for fear of not finding the way back up. On the bright side I now have all the correct paths down cold for the entire game after my weekend replay on hard :)

Yep, that's exactly what it was. I had been there before a lot earlier, but it didn't even cross my mind that it was part of the Riddler's puzzle (I didn't have the map at the time).

Crisis averted.

Also, I love this game.

Oh, the nest thingy between the floors! I got fooled by that two having found it the first time I went through that area, but it was before the Riddler challenges were "activated" so when I came back it slipped my mind for AGES. I lost track of how many times I made my way up and down that shaft looking for something I missed.

Yeah, some of the riddles are annoying to find even with the map.

Make sure to get the DLC for more free challenge rooms.

Well, I spent last night finishing up the Riddler Challange. Call me crazy, but I was expecting more to happen when I found them all. It was a bit of a let down after all that work.

Absolutely loved Arkham Asylum. I picked it up in early September when the weather was breaking and I have some rather fond memories of playing this game next to an open window in the evenings.

the creative team really put a lot into capturing the creepy look and feel of Arkham Asylum. Other than Batman himself, the scenery is the most important character in the game. It might be time for a second play through.

Have you all seen the trailer for Arkham Asylum 2?

I would love to replay this game, but I still need to play through way too many games like inFamous, God of War 1 & 2, and The Saboteur. Not to mention the fact that I spend quite a bit of my time playing NHL 10 and NFS: Shift. Oh, and of course there's Uncharted 2 co-op.

I liked the ending to that but I didn't like it to the Spirit of Arkham because the last entry said something along the line of find the warden and stop the spirit or something I was hoping for some sort of battle or confrontation.

Well, that's kind of what I'm talking about (the Spirit of Arkham was part of the Riddler Challenge). I felt like it was building up to something, like there would be some big reveal about the Spirit...and then nothing happened.

My only disappointment in the game was there werent enough fights.
I agree. Lots of walking around. Too little kicking people's ass.
I enjoyed being a detective and not just a badass fighter.

However, I'll never forget this one moment where I was prowling through...crap, I can't recall the exact spot now, but it was one of the tunnels connecting different areas of the island. But there was a group of about six thugs standing around in a circle talking amongst themselves. I climbed up onto one of the rafters or vents directly overlooking the group and listened to them talk, and then just as one of the guys said "Everybody shut up, this is supposed to be an ambush!" I dropped right down into the middle of them and proceeded to kick their asses.

^ sounds like near the batcave bit in the sewers. I do love just dropping on them for a oui ass kicking.

I was going to try and complete this game fully but after a few hours of trying to get that one combo trophy for doing all the fighting combos in one go i have come to realise its never going to happen, so difficult to do.

I got that by a fluke not even trying, where you enter that Joker decorated building near end and all those thugs are lined up and then attack you. I could never get it again if I tried for 100 years
