Did we ever figure out who the person was feeding us all the intel all those years ago? Went by Morpheus I think. Just a stray thought that passed through my mind.

No, Morpheus never revealed his identity. Probably for the best, if he did, he could be blacklisted and never work in Hollywood again. My hope is he still has a job and (maybe) is still feeding the Internet information about it.

The was some discussion a few years ago that Morpheus (account) was probably used by more than one person. There was at least two distinct styles of writing posts, when it came to some of Morpheus' posts. It would have been nice to know who we were actual swappig posts with, but in the end, I'm glad we didn't .... As AJ mentioned, they did us a great service at a fairly high risk of repercussions...

I don't know about that. After all, there's a marketing strategy to have "moles" post to social media outlets, like this one.

But I'm kind of glad I don't know who it was. I'd probably be disappointed. I don't think he was 100% on everything though (including his information on TATV), which leads me to believe he wasn't direct staff. Then again, like most organizations, I'm sure communication on Enterprise wasn't always 100%.

Please name one thing he was wrong about.

There is no way he wasn't direct staff. He gave out MAJOR spoilers long before the episodes that contained those spoilers aired. He did this on a regular basis. He even went so far as to wait until the episode was "in the can" before giving us the spoilers just to be sure he never gave misinformation.

Also, the spoilers he gave out weren't the kind you get from get from staff who are attempting to whet the appetites of avid fans. His spoilers were usually straightforward "look, this is whats going to happen", type stuff, rather than coy little teasers.

As an aside, I really hope Morpheus is still working in the business. That guy always had the best interests of the fans at heart.

Okay, although some of this is from memory. He said he didn't think Observer Effect was very good. I thought it was the best of season 4. Since that's subjective, here's a more objective one: he claimed Trip/T'Polers would be happy with the finale. (I think he believed Coto would be writing it.) Then he claimed in March they wouldn't be. He corrected himself, but I think it's safe to say Trip/T'Polers weren't happy with the ending.

I think I remember that one well, because I had countless conversations with a couple of people on the board (Quills and Zane) where I think I said not to count chickens before they hatch (mostly out of desperate hope). I was relieved and floored to have been right.

Huh, how is any of this something Morpheus was wrong about? Your comment about O.E. was completely subjective. When Morph thought Manny was writing the final hour of ENT, we all thought T/T would have a happy ending and that the finale would be great. When we heard the Beebs were writing it, everyone got nervous, and not just the folks who liked T/T. Morph was again correct (even if subjectively so) because most all ENT fans hated TaTV; those who described themselves as T/T'ers and otherwise.

Come on Commie, admit it, all of Morpheus' spoilers ended up on screen, including that big one he dropped just before season 4 started.

If you disagree, then once again I ask you to name something Morpheus was wrong about?

Braga wrote this at the end of season 3, so .... This was a spoiler.

He was pretty much right about everything else. How's that?

Explain please.

No, he was right about EVERYTHING. That's how we knew he was part of the production staff.

Or he was hired specifically to visit BBSes like this as part of an organized marketing campaign and was given a list of spoilers to dole out and a timeline on which to do it.

Lots of corporations do marketing like that. For all we know, he worked remotely from South Dakota (or Jakarta - who's to say he's even an American?) and never visited the studios where ENT was filmed or spoke with any writer, director or actor.

Of course, part of the act is to make you think he's something other than a minimum wage peon.
