I received an Original series Phaser I. It is intended to be a Christmas ornament, but I enjoy playing with it. You have the dial that fires the phaser. There is a light beam. There is the power dial and a button that triggers Kirk and Spock quotes about the phaser.

Trek XI DVD. First Trek thing I've ever owned on DVD. (First thing I've wanted to own on DVD. :D)

I also got Virtual Unrealities (Alfred Bester short stories) and Psychoshop, co-authored with Roger Zelazny. And some earrings that are weird enough they should count as sci fi. :rommie:

Voyager -- the whole series on DVD. Apparently, my hubby's original plan was to buy me ALL of Trek on DVD, and then he realized how much that would actually cost. So I'll have to wait a few holidays for everything, I guess. ;)

Distrct 9 and Close Encounters of the Third Kind on Blu-Ray.

Battlestar Galactica season 4.0 and Stargate Atlantis season 5 on DVD.

And a couple of toys from the new Trek movie, which is more than a "man" of my age should be getting for Xmas, but sue me. :p

My relatives think of me as the 'sci-fi guy', so it's generally fairly well represented. DVDs: District 9, Trek XI, Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, Something, Something, Something Dark Side; books: Stephen King's Under the Dome (which I'm assuming is somewhat sci-fi, from the concept), and David Mack's 4400: Broken Promises.

    Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

My sister-in-law gave me three Trek XI action figures (Kirk/Spock/Bones) just because she thought it would be funny.

Sci-Fi related items I received this year were the District 9 DVD and the Ghostbuster XBox 360 game. I gave my wife Dragonage: Origins for the 360 (it's an awesome game).

Instead of doing what we usually do, which is to have my parents buy us stuff, we were able to buy our own stuff for Christmas this year, and so I picked up the final season of BSG in its entirety. I've also put in an order with Barnes and Noble for the BSG Official Companion for Season 4 and a copy of the Serenity: Better Days graphic novel trade paperback, although the latter won't actually be in store and ready for pickup until late January.

    I got a few sci-fi DVDs:
    Stargate movie
Stargate SG-1 season 1-10, Ark of Truth and Continuum
Some Doctor Who (The War Games, Carnival of Monsters, The Ark in Space, The Robots of Death, City of Death)
    Star Trek XI

I'm going to try and make SG-1 last a long time and stick to 1-2 episodes a day. When I watched DS9, BSG, B5 and NuWho this year, I sped through them at a couple of discs per day, which I regret doing.
