Trek episodes that gave you the creeps

I've got only a few:

Night Terrors, Obsession, and Regeneration.

oh yeah, and of course BOBW.

Nice to know I'm not the only one. Can't believe the film's got a U rating, and it has the most horrific thing in the whole of Star Trek.

For me, it was the salt vampire from "The Man Trap". The part at the end when it tries to eat Kirk scared me to death when I was 6 or 7. For days afterwards, I was terrified that any of my family members could actually be shape shifters.

I stopped watching Star Trek for a while after that. The next episode I saw was "Genesis" a couple years later, and the bit where Worf spit acid at Dr. Crusher terrified me.

+1 to Genesis. I didn't even get to the scene where Worf spit at Crusher. Worf biting Troi scared the crap out of my 7 year old self.

TOS - Charlie X, for the girl-turned-lizard and the faceless crew;
By Any Other Name - The yeoman's degrading fate, and most of the other crew almost suffering it;
Operation : Annihilate : When you realize that the innocent kid lying in Sickbay is eventually going to suffer and die just as his Mother did and Spock is doing.

TNG - When The Bough Breaks - Ever since my first niece was born, I cannot stand to watch this episode.;
The Child - The woman caught between decks-literally.;

Night Terrors is the first one I thought of. I can still feel that tingle going down my spine as the all corpses were seen sitting up. The best part is that they don't show them sitting up. One moment they are laying on the tables, and the next they are up right. Less is more, when it comes to being creepy or scary.

exactly! that scene was awesome.

someone mentioned Empok Nor -- agreed! I'd forgotten about that one. *shiver*

no one mentioned voyager's 'cold fire' yet? the whole thing is a horror movie. there's kes burning her plants, later overheating tuvok who collapses, eyes bulging, face covered with smoking boils. suspiria, the little girl speaking in a deep demonic voice (reminded me of the exorcist), tuvok (again, geez, got the poor vulcan tortured in this episode) and torres suspended in mid air in the boiler room, blood dripping from their bodies, and finally suspiria's metamorphosis into that shapeless wormy thing.

There's a scene from "Wolf in the Fold", where the ghost of Jack the Ripper has been revealed, and after killing his host (Hengist) he enters into the computer, where it threatens to kill everyone in a weird voice.

It feeds on fear, and having control of the computer while threatening the crew like that comes off a bit scary.

Then after Kirk forces him out of the computer, it re-enters Hengist's body and he instantly comes alive again (it looks creepy for some reason) and he's still threatening them even as they drag him off and beam him out in to space...

I think with this being made in the late 60's, it had an odd, creepy feel to it..

The ones I can think of offhand:

TOS: The Mark of Gideon and The Tholian Web.
TNG: Remember Me and Night Terrors.

Seems I have issues with abandonment and insanity...

Edit: Oh, and another TNG one -- I can't think of the name, but Data was having nightmares where he subconsciously perceived the Enterprise was invaded by cellular parasites, and in his dream he saw Troi as a cake being carved and eaten by Worf and the others.

Edit II, The Wrath of Wikipedia -- Never mind, it was Phantasms.

Believe it or not, the first one that came to mind was TNG's "The Survivors," when Troi is slowly being driven insane by the music in Uxbridge's music box. As odd as it is, that used to creep me out to no end.

And of course there's also "The Thaw," (death is frightening no matter how clownish he seems), "Genesis," (because seeing the crew de-evolved into monsterous creatures was scary), "Schisms," (because who really knows what happens when we have those instances where time seems to disappear?), and- yes, another believe it or not- "Move Along Home," (because who would want to be in control of the life [or death] of the people close to them?).

Don't get me wrong. These were all wonderfull epsiodes, but VVVEEERRRYYY creepy!

You know, the scene in VOY's "Caretaker" where everyone was strapped down and getting needles plunged into their bellies? That was creepy. Especially poor Harry's terrified screaming.
