Family Guy - The Empire Strikes Back

Mort as Lando was probably the biggest miscasting so far. Joe should have been R2-D2 and they should have saved Cleveland for Lando. Chris' old boss at the convenience store (was his name Greg?) was also disappointing as Yoda. SSSDS had some great gags, but I think Blue Harvest was better; hopefully the inevitable ROTJ special will improve on SSSDS.

That said, Robot Chicken's Star Wars specials have been far superior to Family Guy's. I hope they do more.

"Blue Harvest" already established that Cleveland is R2D2, IMO it would have been weird to switch him to being Lando in the second installment. Maybe Jerome (from the most recent season) would have been a good Lando...

I agree with you about Chris' boss (his name is Carl) as Yoda being disappointing--the whole Dagobah section of the program was a little underwhelming.

Yeah, I meant Joe should have been R2-D2 in Blue Harvest, too.

I did like the training montage on Dagobah, intercut with Ivan Drago's training in Rocky IV, though.

Anybody know why it took two and a half years for the next Star Wars special to come out? I thought it was supposed to be one a year. How long will we have to wait for ROTJ?

I head rotj will be next year in season 9. I also heard that this one was suppose to be at the begining of season 8 but Fox pushed it to the end (it's Episode 20), presumably to sell DVD's first before Christmas.

I did get a kick out of his response when Chris asked him why he didn't fight Vader himself.

It would've made more sense, in a way.

No offense meant to anyone.
