^ He wouldn't do a TV series, would he?
It was mentioned on here, but it was quite a while ago.
Neal McDonough as Ed Straker!![]()
I've watched every episode several times and I never picked up on this:There's some more about this here:

The space-suited figures that landed on Earth to steal our organs were themselves semi-zombified abductees from previous sorties, now controlled by alien intelligence.
Think they will re-work the actresses (camel-toe) costume?Forbin, I love that picture, though probably a tough time to be a pretty young lady.

That's not quite right... the ones who came in the UFOs were aliens who had multiple organ transplants from previous human abductees. Some humans were controlled in a couple of episodes but that was not the main effort and they were taken over here. The space-suited figures that landed on Earth to steal our organs were themselves semi-zombified abductees from previous sorties, now controlled by alien intelligence.

Ali Larter and Joshua Jackson seem to be in the running for parts.
There was at least one episode where Col. Lake wore a purple wig on Moonbase.
Actually, everybody apparently wore some form of wig on that show. The whole purple wig idea may look campy today, but it was actually a legitimate, seriously intended prediction of how fashions and other aspects of culture were possibly to be in 1980. Gerry and Sylvia Anderson believed that wigs would be a common piece of apparel for both men and women. As such virtually every male actor on the show was actually wearing a wig in most episodes, too. In the cast of Michael Billington (Foster), you can tell what episodes he didn't wear a wig in because he was going the Sean Connery route and it showed in several episodes. For Ed Bishop it was more a practical matter - they tried dying his hair for a few episodes but apparently it caused him some problems, so he wigged it for the rest of the series.
All that said, if you watch the first episode it was pretty clear Anderson was going for the eye candy effect with regards to Lt. Ellis and the others on Moonbase. Not to mention the long shot of Ayshea Brough's butt early in the episode (say that fast 5 times!).

How about some comparison shots?Ahh, I remember a girl years ago who reminded me of Lt. Ellis...(She was actually, a bit more 'blessed' than Lt. Ellis)...
That story will end right there...![]()

I gotta say, having seen Gabrielle naked in that film, that all my teen fantasies about how she must look were not disappointed. The woman was awesome.
It takes a while to load, but there's an interesting version of the theme at the official site.

Whether or not this is actually used for the movie remains to be seen, it might just be for publicity purposes. If it is for the film, I can live with that. Needs more Hammond organ though.
