New Frontier Question

Why have you put your New Frontiers just after your Vanguards?

(And don't you just hate it when shelving units force some of your books to come further forward than others!)

my books are arranged as follows:

TOS
VGD
NF
DS9
SCE (MMPBs)
TNG series era
GKN/KE
TNG ATT/post NEM
TTN
Destiny/ASD
VGR
Shatner

they're basically ordered as 23C and the 24C in the order that I started buying the series. and then Shat's bunged on the end as non-continuity 24C.

When Xy was born there are hints from the reactions of Selar and Burgy that the baby was a hermaphrodite, at least that's the wat it seemed to me. But then later they make a big deal that's he "just" male. Did I miss something or did Peter David change his mind and just ignored the hints he'd written before?

I just checked, and there's a line saying that Selar said the baby was a "him," "a bit too quickly," but that can be explained a number of different ways, including that she was just aware that the gender was a more than usual concern and it had preoccupied her.

I could swear I also remember there was a moment of surprise at the birth, but I'm not home so I can't get to the book right now.
Either way I was convinced the baby was going to be a hermaphrodite and it seems a little disapointing that PD didn't go that route, just for the fun of a hermaphrodie half-Vulcan.
