Family Guy - The Empire Strikes Back

i had to watch it twice though, i missed everything the first time... i'm such a scale model freak i spent the whole first time admiring the greebleing on the animated spaceships. haha

The first one was okay with some good jokes, but it wasn't early-season FG funny. I'm on the fence about even watching this second installment for free. IS it like the first one, or is the humor more like the last couple seasons of the show? This last year was so bad, I actually stopped watching new episodes; I've dumped it like "The Simpsons".

^ its definately worth watching if you're a SW fan. but personally i think Blue Harvest was much funnier.

This one has more swears and much more pop-culture bits even some live bits from Rocky 4 and Magnum. I really liked this one and look forward to ROTJ when ever they do that one.

I was thinking she'd be the Sarlacc to keep up with the speechless monster thing, but Jabba makes more sense. :)

"i'm in for this, but i mean really; dont you think the dark side has much better training facilities?"

I bought this and watched it today. It was pretty good, on the same level as Blue Harvest and among the best Family Guy has given us since retruning from cancellation.

Mind you, it seemed more things were omitted from the movie than Blue Harvest omitted from A New Hope, but TESB was a longer movie.

I was a bit disappointed that Chris's supervisor was Yoda. I suppose it works because the actual character is a mentor to Chris, but I was hoping Seamus (the sailor with wooden arms and legs) would be Yoda. He would have made an awesome Yoda. Not particularly wild about Bruce being Admiral Piett, though who else could they have used? However, there had to have been someone else they could have used for Lando. Mort Goldman just doesn't fit the character.

And although I'm no fan of Peter's over long fights with the Giant Chicken, I was hoping for them to have one throughout Cloud City, and when it was over, Peter would be apprehended by the stormtroopers, who would toss him back in the cell, and he'd say "I feel awful" before collapsing, just like Han did following his interrogation.

Still, it was a very satisfactory episode. Impressive work on the ships this time around too. I think the Super Star Destroyer looked better than it did in the actual movie.

"Luke if thats you, raise your right hand! No, you're right hand!"

"It's me you fucke*s!"

Loved that part, the swearing made it more funny. I would love to see them do a big screen movie (not a star wars spoof, just family guy in general) like the Simpsons did.

It was fun, but I think they spent way too much time just recreating scenes from the film straight with no gags. All those establishing shot and ship shots, and hardly a gag among them. No pimped out TIE fighters, or starship fender benders 'cause someone was on a cell phone...

Well it was about funny/unfunny as Blue Harvest. I feel like they should be doing more riffs and jokes and less faithful adaptation shot for shot. Also where the **** is my Peter/Giant Chicken fight?! Why do they put him in as Boba Fett and not have the fight?! It better be in ROTJ!!!
