Amazing Race Season Finale

Didn't see this on the first page, which is a little surprising given it's the season finale and all so here we are.

Spoilers

Megan and Cheyne won, but I think that was a given anyway. I have to say though, intelligence was somewhat lacking this season. Megan and Cheyne not knowing who Mr. Las Vegas was, or about the Monte Carlo, and the bickering from the other two teams were annoying. I have to say this wasn't my favorite season of the show, and this episode could have been a lot better. The final leg really should have a memory type challenge to see if teams were paying attention and this leg didn't have it. I guess the hardest task was either getting the bocae or counting chips but that seemed so basic. Hopefully next season will have a better cast and will just be better overall. Looking forward to it, whenever that will be.

Just finished watching my downloaded copy. With the 'trotters gone I was emotionally out of it. Meghan and Cheyne winning was probably the best of three bad options.

That black woman was pretty useless, freaking out over nothing, demanding they change positions twice, she's just rarely if ever helpful. Change preconceptions about Miss America contestants my ass!

I just hate the gay guys. Whiny bitches the both of them.

You're not kidding. Not the best season of Amazing Race. Not by a long shot.

I guess I can understand not knowing that the Monte Carlo is from Monaco, but to now know that Venice is in Italy?!? Weird...

That said, I think the right team won, even if they were never my favorites.

Yeah, this season wasn't that great. One of the worst in a while, actually. I didn't really like any of the teams with the possible exception of the father/son team that got eliminated a couple of weeks ago. Meghan and Cheyne were really great at challenges, but many of the challenges this season were just plain lame. Especially in this finale...sliding down a rope, grabbing flowers, and counting poker chips. Seriously? For the last episode? So lame.

Hopefully next season is more interesting. A couple of the racers will actually be two contestants of last season's Big Brother who I really liked, so I think that at least that will make it more intriguing for me.

Well, they've done the Circus thing before so many times... and really, unless there was a hooker roadblock, that was probably the best they could do in Vegas. :lol

At least these challenges were better than the season where the had to eat a pizza at the finale in Chicago...

Not the best season, but still more entertaining than just about every other reality show out there, IMO.

The thing I liked about Megan and Cheyne is that Cheyne looked like a guy who could be a total dick, but he turned out to be pretty cool, and the fact that they worked together and didn't fight all the time really made me feel good about them.

I still wish the Globetrotters would have won though.

Am I the only one that thinks Megan looks like a founder from Deep Space 9? (Still cute though)

Glad that Meghan and Cheyne won- they were the best team and the least obnoxious of the remaining three. After listening to Erika bitch and moan at every stop, I was really glad to see that team come in last.

Agree with others that this was a pretty lame finale and a rather disappointing season overall. The final leg seemed way too easy this time, but maybe that's because I go to Vegas a lot and know my way around. Of course, no cabbie in Vegas is going to get lost when they spent most of the time on the Strip, so knowing your way around wouldn't be that much of an advantage. Maybe they should have had the teams drive themselves to add a little more challenge to the final leg.

Haven't been to the Monte Carlo in a few years- I was surprised to see they still have that tacky carpeting.

What's this now? I hadn't heard this. Who's the team? Jeff & Jordan would be cool.

As for this finale, I'm glad Meaghan & Cheyne won out of the 3 that were left, though I was worried when they were the last to show up at the chip-counting task.

And OMG, going face-first down that building. I would not be the one doing that challenge! :D

It is indeed Jeff and Jordan that were spotted at LAX when the race started a few days ago. I don't expect them to do all that well, but they should at least be very entertaining to watch. Certainly moreso than when irritating Rob and Amber were on Amazing Race. I'm actually really interested to see if a more competitive side of them comes out.

Rob and Amber were entertaining, and solid racers. Sure they were attention whores, but whatever.

I watched some of the first couple of seasons of Big Brother, and honestly I found it to be the worst reality show out there. I don't know this Big Brother couple, but I'll cheer against them on general principle.

Thanks for handling the thread tomalak301 I was out of town this past weekend and wasn't near a computer to post it up.

Well, I just watched my DVR'd recording, and well I guess it was predictable who would win at this point. That isn't really my problem though, I guess I have a problem with the tasks and the length of the finale. I still want my 2 hour finale's back. I also want a really long run to the finish line back. And I also want more team driving and less cabs back. :(

The face first repel looked neat, I'd do that. The tasks were fun, but seemed to be all physical, no mental challenges at the end, and a lot of cab driving and relying on your cab driver and traffic :( I want to get back to more running, more having to figure out streets yourself etc....

I'm glad for who won though, I didn't want either of the other two teams to win at all.

Here is hoping for next season

No Prob. :techman:

Agreed. I think I would rather have the two hour finale than two hour premiere. The thing about this finale though, was that it started excitingly enough. Unfortunately, after they left the plane in Vegas, it was all downhill after that. As for the tasks, yeah there needed to be more mental tasks. I think there was an overreliance on physical tasks this overall season.

Just watched it.

Erika's race after the jumpy flower grabbing task was priceless...talk about a bad tempered woman.

Personally I'd have liked Brian to win. He was a nice guy and he deserve something after having to put up with Erika's constant nonsense.

I am so glad they won also. I have nothing against black and white couples, I have a few friends who are married to black men, but that black chick was so cockie she was so hateful to everyone
