Batman Begins

If you like Batman, you'll almost certainly like the film.

If you don't know anything about Batman, you're still likely to enjoy most of the film and it's better than what's on most of the rest of the channels at the time. If you don't like the genre at all, Batman Begins won't change your mind.

I'm probably going to rewatch it; I haven't seen it in years (not since its original release, in fact) and it's better than Xtra Factor and there's not much else to see then.

It's an interesting Batman film, in the sense that while the other Batman films (including The Dark Knight) had a significant emphasis on the villains in those stories, this one focuses squarely on Batman foremost, with the bad guys very much supporting acts.

Alas, despite Sir Maurice's presence in the film, I won't be able to watch it tonight.

Personally, with these films, I always try and imagine Papa Lazarou talking once Christian Bale gets into his Goddamn Batman voice. :guffaw:

I have seen The Dark Knight it was brilliant is Batman Begins like a reimagining or reboot?

Batman begins was a reboot to the frachine with Christian Bale as Batman/Bruce Wayne.

It's Batman Begins that leads to The Dark Knight.

Really sorry, I know this is offensive, but... are you a retard?
You've seen The Dark Knight (the second of the two Nolan/Bale Batman films) and thought it was amazing, and know you're asking whether you should watch the first one?
I just don't get it

Oh and it's ITV

wait what do you mean thats not funny anymore, but I never got the chance to use it :( ;)

In that case no, I hate watching movies with ad breaks in them.

In all serious if you like Dark Knight then yes you will like Batman begins. It's the first of Nolans realistic and dark reimagining of the batman universe of which there are currently two (the other being Dark Knight)

I think the OP smart for asking, because I think BB is total crap. It is one of the most boring of the superhero movies. It features a lead actor playing an awesomely inigmatic character with absolutely no charisma.

The movie also features one of the most forgettable villains ever. Superhero movies usually rise and fall on the strength of it's villains, that is the main reason Dark Knight works so well (hate to think what DK would have been like with no Heath Ledger and Bale having to carry the movie). Scarecrow in BB is barely there and the void is never filled by Bale's performance as Batman.

It appears to me that Chris Nolan was so anxious to go in the opposite direction from Batman and Robin, he sucked all the life out of the movie. Most people were so glad that BB was not like Batman and Robin, they convinced themselves BB was actually a good movie.

Anyone who decides to skip this one won't be missing much.

Sorry, but it's just a very bizarre question to me. It's not like the OP is some 70 year old hermit, they obviously use the Internet and are a SciFi fan otherwise they wouldn't be here.
And BB only came out 4 years ago, its not as if its some lost treasure from 50 years ago, so I can't believe they wouldn't know that it was the film TDK was a sequel to. A quick 10 second look on IMDB will tell you its gets an average of 8.3 out of 10 and is (somehow) the 102nd best film ever made.

It's like asking "hey I just saw there's film on TV called "Die Hard", is it related to "Die Hard 2" which I've seen. I thought that was great so should I watch this?"

And also I would never watch a film "live" on ITV. I only ever watch films on terrestial TV if I've taped it on Sky+ as I can't abide watching a movie with fucking adverts all the way through it (well, BBC are excempt)
And even worse "and the film will continue after the News... in about 40 minutes"
Just like they've recently been showing the six Star Wars movies like that. And ITV are scarred to death of 2.35:1 widescreen, and thus crop it all to shit.
I can't believe people sit through it. It's about the worst way possible to watch those films. Just get the DVDs

You know it's offensive, and you ought to know better. You could have posted the rest without the unnecessary insult. Knock it off, please.

In other news, this is really more SFF territory, so off it goes for further analysis...
