Chris Pine appreciation thread

Here are a few screen caps from the scene where Kirk gets furious, and Spock shoves Kirk out the airlock. It's actually pretty comical just watching Kirk's side.

Wow, Jeri, those are beautiful. What an expressive face he has. The eyes in last one...guh.

Here is a picture I really like with Chris peering between Anton and Zachary. And two small ones I cropped from the screen caps.

Starquest, I love the one of him peeking between Zach and Anton! Cute group shot! Especially since Chris is grinning and everyone else looks momentarily grim... hee!

Chris looks adorable, peaking through there. I see Roberto Orci to the right in the larger view; he's kind of adorable, too. Thanks for the pictures!

Chris is just a huge talent; he's so impressive. His eyes look super blue in the escape-pod one, don't they.

Pam, I posted your information about the Clancy screenplay in the Movies & TV forum yesterday, and it seems that fans here and in comments sections after the articles around the web are cautiously optimistic about it -- kind of like Star Trek fans were.

They don't like their franchise being moribund and would welcome a decent reboot. We know that Chris will work his tail off; and if anybody can do it, he can, IMO. For Chris fans, it will be great, because he is starring in it and will be on screen in practically every scene.

I just watched Confession and I loved it. Chris was awesome. He just continues to blow me away with his talent. Amazing. The cast was great for the most part and loved seeing Robert Pine in it. I had forgotten he was in it. Nice treat. The girl who played Lucas' girlfriend was a terrible actress. I cringed every time she opened her mouth. I also watched the outtakes and they were very funny, particularly the part where Chris takes off his t-shirt in his room and the part where he sings his line to Robbie and Robbie returns it. Lol. I am going to watch the movie now with the commentary turned on to listen to the director and Chris talk during the film. I always enjoy those.

I did not know Chris is on the comment track! Thanks for that; I had no idea. I never listen to comment tracks unless I have insomnia. But I'll make an exception.

These are a couple screen caps from that scene where he took his shirt off in the outtakes.

I think the only movies of Chris' I haven't seen now are Smokin' Aces and Carriers. I guess I will watch them eventually.

This is the lovely picture that is now my desktop wallpaper so I thought I would share it with you.

It's funny, but they all look in-character in that candid shot. I was going to say especially Spock -- and he does look wonderful; but they all look like they are the characters and not the actors.

Good morning. :)

The Google Chris alert was full of reprints at various places of that article from yesterday quoting the makers of the Jack Ryan movie. That's about it. There was this, though, which is funny -- and the best part is that Chris Pine is the gold standard that they compare the guy to :D: 6 Reasons To Date A Guy Who Lives With His Parents.

That's pretty damn funny. He's so indignant and furious and then Spock pops into view and then he's all "Uh oh... Maybe I should retract what I just said..."

Yum, salsa fresca; we like it and make it. Nice that Chris does, too; thanks for the video!

Just made some the other day, with tomatoes grown in the back yard -- we have it with all sorts of things, including breakfast. :) I've never used the food processor to make it, though.

He cooks too? Be still my heart!

Pam, that's not a lens flare. That is his essence of pure energy......thats my story and i'm sticking to it!

DARN! When i rented Confession i didn't listen to the commentary. I didn't know he was on it!!!! GAH! Now i'm gonna have to have my library get it back again!

So the DH and i watched it tonight. My 10th time including the four at the theater. I can pretty much recite all the dialog now (to be filed under "this girl needs a life") and i can honestly say i have not tired of it at all. And it's not because of Chris either. I think its a gorgeous film to look at. The CGI people really went all the way. It is visually stunning. And the sound is pretty amazing as well. Hell, i even love the credits!
